In halo 3 i killed a guy and his shotgun went off when it hit the ground, kinda startled me. Going back in theater mode i found out it went off when the dude's ass fell on the trigger. i LOL'd.

i was recently quite disturbed watching gears of war. it was far more realistic then the violence i had previously seen.

kind of interesting when the 2 people playing it were younger then me, and didn't seem at all bothered by it.

I just mentioned this elsewhere in this forum, but the Ocean View Hotel sequence in V:tM - Bloodlines was one of the creepiest and most disturbing moments I've had in a game, just because it did that "show, don't tell" thing so well. It let you fill in the blanks yourself, and that's usually what terrifies and disturbs you the most.

Knights of the Old Republic 1. Not a scary disturbing, but an ethical one. You can force the wookie to kill his best friend, the giggly 14 year old Twi'lek girl Mission. It horrified me. BioWare really knows how to access peoples' emotions...

for me, it was when i was about 6 or 7 and i was playing resident evil 2 with my dad. None of the monsters bothered me at all; zombies, lickers, bosses, none of that scared me, until my second playthrough when i was being followed by tyrant-103. no matter whether i knew he was coming or not, it scared me soo bad every time he burst through the wall to attack me. Every single time it happened i would scream like it happened in real life, even though i knew it was fake. Looking back now it is such a silly thing to freak about, but at that time it was sooo scary.

that was sort of creepy but you need the subtitles to tell what their saying

people laugh at me all the time for being scared sh**less of ravenholme from half life 2. i dont know man its just scary as hell. not any better when you have a preist with a shotgun!Who also is cross eyed is the creepiest way.

this one momment in fear 2.... ime not afraid to admit i pissed myself. their was this hallway with to paths at the end. left is the way to continue, right is a dead end. i hit the dead end turn around and as sure as hell, alma is right up in my face. i screamed wich woke up my freind and i thank god he didnt see the.... stain.

There's a bit in HL2 Ep. 2 where you come across a dead guy sitting in an armchair(In the mines, right after the area where you have to fight off waves of zombies and antlions while waiting for an elevator). It really disturbed and depressed me when I realized that he had committed suicide, and the vortigaunt's little comment there didn't make it any better.

oh, wow. I have a few of these. Alot from bioshock, oddly...

-first encounter with a splicer when still in the bathysphere
-first big daddy in the theater. The thought of having to go into the same hallway that it just walked into made me shitless.
-cohen. Nuff said.

I don't know if this counts but I played as many horror games (resident evil 1-3, parasite eve 1 and 2 and silent hill 1-3) as I could in the space of 3 days with no sleep, I hallucinated that the moth boss from silent hill 1 one was after me.

Some of the most disturbing moments for me was in Bioshock, when you recover an audio log of the doctor doing surgery. Also, "I want to pull the ears off". Actually, most of the audio logs in Bioshock was pretty scare.

Edit: the "puppy" audio log.

I think I Have the most disturbing one of all time. Anyone who has played Psychonauts may have found the room that discuses Milla's eight (I think is was eight) children that died in a fire. well in the room there is a chest that when opened will take you to a chamber populated by eight (I think) emotional demons that scream things like "it burns" and "Milla, why did you let us die!?!" Anyone else have a bad reaction to that?
This. One of my favorite games of all time. It's so light-hearted that you would never expect anything like this.

Especially since I wasn't sure if it was a horror game til that part. I was running around, smacking Asian vampires upside the head with a baseball bat and stealing explosives, and then the Ocean View comes up. The worst part was the washing machine, do you remember the washing machine?
