Was uncharted 2's multiplayer perfect? I didn't think so.
No, it was great but not perfect, Uncharted 2 is amazing. But things like its story being predictable is what bring it down.

VideoGame chess or board chess?
You just said game - so i'm speaking generally.

Chess is 1400 - 1500 years old and still popular and strongly played today.
Helps your brain make decisions faster / more effectively, and helps you become more strategic if played regularly.
And is also featured in many other games (Sims) and movies (Harry Potter 1) and was a key focus in the movie 'The Seventh Seal.'
It's the only game to have complete international success.
It's both a hardcore and casual game and people like Stephen Conroy would actually play and like it.
It's easy to play and hard to master, but is still a 'go at your own pace' difficulty curve
And it's one of the only games in existance to be popular in both physical and virtual form.
Also depending on how much you spend the graphics change immensely (Virtual (2D / 3D), Plastic, Wood, Stone, Glass, Crystal/Diamond.

Yes. Ocarina Of Time.

Goodbye.
Overrated

No, I think I'd need more then a flame shield if I said that.

Simple answer to the question, no, there is no 'perfect' game. Everyone has a different opinion on what would be perfect to them.

The only perfect game:

Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

The music is sensational, the multiplayer is tight, well produced and fun, everything about it is simply perfection.

im not sure if there is such thing is a perfect game.. although in my opinion 'super mario world 2: yoshi's island' for the snes is probably the closest game to perfection ive ever played.. it was beautiful, wasnt at all repetetive, and had some of the most remerable boss fights i can remember seeing in any game.

Turrican II.

No such thing as a perfect game, really, but T2 was the perfect balance of all the features from the Turrican series, so I can at least say it was perfect at the time. Plenty of weapons, tonnes of secrets, a variety of playing styles and there was even a scrolling shoot-em-up in the middle (the first time I hopped into that spaceship I wondered if I'd won already).

Also, music by Chris Huelsbeck. FUCK YES!

Who else could take an industrial synth remix of Mary Had a Little Lamb and make it sound awesome?

See the laughing scene and say that with a straight face. I don't think there is a best game but if I had to pick, either; Robo Pit (on the ps1), Fallout 3 (On the 360) or Disgaea: Hour Of Darkness(on the ps2). I know all of them have one or two flaws but to me they are the perfect games and none of the flaws effected the gameplay
I tend to gloss over that scene by either muting it or watching a bit of TV when it comes on.
I also took it out of the equation completely when posting my perfect games.
Yeha it's a only a fly on a over wise really tasty cake of a game

Valve have produced the nearest-to-perfect games that I've played. If there ever will be a perfect game, I bet it'll be from them.
Yeah maybe, but they will delay the release date out the ass for it lol. For me closest to perfect game I've ever played has to be Psychonauts, Jak 2 or Ocarina of Time, I haven't finished Psychonauts or OoT, but they are pretty awesome

EDIT: Portal was awesome as hell too

they made a game :O
i used to love those books
I know, right? Yeah, I have it, Game Boy Color. I was being widely sarcastic though, the game is extremely terrible and the gameplay rips off pokemon badly. I've never finished it.

just curious, why do most people on these forum want to get down and suck valve's nuts? ive played half life, l4d, most of their games, and none of them were amazing. the closest was probably portal, and that wasn't really even their game. i realize its your opinion, but i really just dont get it.

OT: for me, God of War 2 was extremely close to perfect. not quite there, but I cant really think of any complaints.
For myself, it was the way that that each piece fitted toghether so well (I'm talking about Half-Life at the minute). Where was I? Oh yes, the vehicles drove well, the enemies were challenging without being frustrating and the characters were all likable. I guess you could say that there's not much good about them, but it's more like they did nothing wrong. Everything works.
difference of opinion handled intelligently. well done argument.
