Canada exports high class comedy, it wears America the same way any person wears a fine beard (though you can make the argument Canada is America's hat). Seriously? Where would you all be without Pure Pwnage, LoadingReadyRun, and Jim Carrey? You'd be having a horrible day with Carlos Mencia (actual origin unknown to poster).

Also, America could take Canada in a war, sure. But the I like to think that the British have Canada's back far more than they have America's.

EDIT: On a side note, Rush uber-allus.

I have no problem with Canada. though some of it's citizens do piss me off. There's nothing with Canada, as long as it knows it's place.
What might Canada's place be? Kindly enlighten the good people who read that comment so that it is not taken out of context... I mean I do not think you mean "place" in the literal localization sense, so you must mean "place" in a more allegorical sense that carries some additional meaning that I am not seeing.

Hmmm... Canadian inventions... How about?
Insulin
Telephone
The zipper
Basketball
IMAX theatres
Pacemakers
The sonar
Blackberries
The Canadarm (Americans call it the robot arm) in the space shuttles
Java (internet programming)
Hockey
The electric stove in your kitchen
Walkie Talkies
Skidoo (snowmobile)
etc etc

As to why other people may make fun at Canada or Canadians? Who knows, who cares? that's what people do. Canadians make fun at Canadians and ara capable at laughing at themselves.

Alright you guys seem to be having a hard time with this so let me explain. By saying that our place is on top of America, I was referring to geographical location. I can understand how you might have a hard time getting the joke... seeing as how most Amercians can't find their own country on a map, so I'll forgive you guys and go back to playing hockey. ^_^
From one Canadian to another: you're being a douchebag. Yeah, the "as long as they know their place" comment was rude, but there's absolutely no need to go off on an over-defensive, insult-heavy tangent like this, because frankly, it's more than a little pathetic. And embarrassing.
Thanks for having my back on this one Citrus. The only other thing I'm going to say to PinkAngelKitty is in response to her telling me to not get involved in her conversation. This is an interent forumn and the whole point of it is to serve as a mutual discussion ground where all may join, if you don't like this system post somewhere else please.

You know, I severely enjoyed the exchange you had with the Americans who misinterpreted your post... I read through them all, and I think you handled it very professionally. ^_^

Because they have a reputation as whiny pussies. Although it's totally unfounded because Canadians created hockey; the most badass & awesome sport ever!
Bahaha! I would even say we invented the bar fight. Or maybe Germans did that... or Irish... Whatever. We are known for our bar fights. >_>

I'd also have to mention this being a site with a certain dedication to gaming that we look at all the great Canadian game developers and studios operating in our icy paradise... we also grow the best marijuana in the game!

Also, the guy who mentioned picturing a bearded man wrestling a bear as the symbol of Canada should be given a high-five, because that is awesome.

My friends tend to call Canada "America Junior," pretty much stating that Canadians want to be like Americans. Though I don't think thats the case since my friends are only joking

That which you do not understand, hate.

Canadian history isn't taught anywhere in the U.S. that I know of, but most of the hate is really just joking... I hope. I certainly mean it that way.
I wonder if they teach the war of 1812 and the ass-whooping the Canadians to the U.S in their history textbooks. =P

However, there is a greater evil in the Great White North/America's Hat. It is the monster that resides within Prime Minister Stephen Harper's sweater. Seriously, Google "Harper's Sweater" it's good for a laugh.

Edit: Was briefly considering posting a counter-thread "Hate for America" but...the last thing we need is for the Escapist servers to go boom.
Is this what you meant (I love Marg, Princess Warrior):
