I found it interesting that there was 'outrage' over this. Not with regards to the abuses levelled at the intrepid reporters (horrible though it was), but with other people claiming their town is misrepresented. If this was the minority, why was none of the allegedly pleasent majority stepping in to do something about it?
This is one amongst many things I hate about Britain nowadays, few people offer help to others, out of fear more than anything. Fear of suffering under a misdirected law system.

wow i only watched the 30 second intro and i'm already shocked as hell! christ i thought racism was bad in america, this is just........wow, honestly im at a loss for words.

Wow, and I thought that race relations over here in the states were bad. That's just...wow. I mean is this fairly common all over Britain or just in isolated pockets?
My family and I have gone through similar discrimnation before, but nowhere near this bad, and only once in a small town that's fairly infamous for having a bunch of racist pricks anyway.

It's hardly isolated, if you watch the whole of that documentary, when it's talking about the other Muslim dude who got beat up outside the pub, that's in a different estate and some guy got bottled for being Asian in my estate about a month ago.Last of the Chinchillas said:
People such as the ones seen in the film exist all over Britain, although it is only in the council estates, if you don't live in a council estate and don't have to spend much time in them you will rarely see that sort of stuff. However, in council estates that type of stuff happens all the time, you saw how much went on in that documentary and I'd say that's a pretty fair reflection on what it's like in most council estates.

A lot of the inbreds in that show are probably not just racist. I suspect that if they see anyone they don't recognise, they'll have a go, regardless of colour.
Because they're basically one step up from the missing link and have shit for brains, they'll pick on the first thing that they see as an easy target. Asians get the colour thing, I'd be attacked because I have red hair, tall people because they stand out, etc etc....
Racism is pretty bad on a lot of these estates, but don't think that because you're white, you'd escape any trouble.
I am firmly of the belief that we could easily do without a third of the under 25's in this country and that a syringe filled with poison is far cheaper than supporting these poor excuses for human beings throughout their lifetime of benefit scrounging.
People think they can change these louts, I'm sorry but I disagree. This country has let it go on for too long, it's a firmly engrained stain on their mentality and they aren't salvageable, they'll always be animals.
God I love living in the countryside, we get hoodies and chavs here, but they're so few and far between that simply ignoring them usually gets rid of them as they have no 'crew' in any great numbers.

Well you see, what I wrote in my OP about this not neccesarily being racist even though it is of course very racist. The people in the video are being racist for the hell of it, they want some reason to start on someone and all they need is a little bit to grab onto, in the majority of cases it's race/religion because that's the easiest thing to spot, but I've known people get that sort of abuse and I have aswel for a number of different things, like I said it can be anything from hair length to how you dress. But look at the people responsible in that video, they don't care about jobs/economys/nationalism/national security, they just wanna kick off and the biggest and easiest target for them is foriegners.
Infact a great recent example was a women who faced the same things as seen in this video because her daughter was disabled, she ended up driving away with her daughter and setting the car a light with the both of them in it. I'll try and find a link...
