It's possible that you were imagining it, a trick of the mind due to the fact you believed it would happen.

My school was haunting, though. Does that count?

My science block makes weird sound when its windy but we all know the windows do that, though how it managed to sound like someone dying is beyond me, there are also rodents in the ceiling and they're currently getting rid of the asbestos.

Nope, no haunting, by dead people at least. Some of the teachers are pretty haunting.

We did have an old building that used to be an insane asylum especially when it was part of the school, that could have been haunted but it got knocked down.

Well, both my current and previous schools are supposedly haunted. My old school apparently was haunted by the ghost of a boy who died in a fire during WW2, but I myself never saw him.
My current school used to be a nunery and once a nun tripped annd fell down a flight of stairs and died. Students are not allowed near this staircase.

lol...i could've been imagining it..idk..we heard the footsteps multiple times and then would proceed to stick our heads out the practice room...and my friend decided to chase the footsteps but found nothing.

yes, schools or colleges count =)
If you are sure you didn't imagine it, it could have been a recording. I mean, it wouldn't be too hard playing it from somewhere.
I love doing that, I took a recorder once and attached it to some fishing line, I had pulled the thing with the sound of footsteps recorded on it and my friends came over to where it stopped, then I proceded to jump out and scare the thit out of them... litteraly.

My school's English corridor is haunted by the mysterious being known as "Mrs Thurston the English teacher". Some say if you listen to her words for too long, you are driven mad. It is also a proven fact that unless you are also mad, it is impossible to stay in that corridor for more than an hour before feeling the uneasy need to leave.

Her wild ramblings can continue for hours, it has been said.

This strange beast has also been known to set homework.

i wish mine was haunted. maybe after the construction work, there'll be a tragic accident involving one of the builders, causing him to rest eternally in the foundations...

heh heh... not so much that i'm morbid, just that my school is boring as freckles, maybe a bit of drama would spice the air. perhaps a scandalous teacher/student affair instead?

I think we had some "haunting" in the auditorium at our university. Some of the drama students I knew said they would not go in there during certain hours because it was "dangerous". Granted, these are also DRAMA students...so take it for what it's worth.

you know something, I'm pretty sure I had some sort of ghost following me around when I took science tests, because no matter how much I studied, I would always forget the instant I sat down to take the test.

Or maybe I just hated the class and really didn't care because it was a gen-ed credit, but that's my rationalization and I'm sticking to it.

I've heard rumors about ghosts haunting the elevators of the freshman dorms, but I think the better explanation is that the building is old and the elevators don't work very well.

I've heard that one of the dorms at my school is haunted, but people can't even agree on which dorm it is so I don't believe it. I've heard it was either the dorm I used to live in (nothing ever happened to me or anyone I knew) or two other ones.

The college where my dad works is supposedly haunted by the old librarian, Angie Milner [http://www.prairieghosts.com/milner.html].

No, not really. People would try to claim it at times, but then their own friends would turn to them and say "cut the shit" because they could tell that nobody would buy into such a played-out gag.

Two things at OU

1. The stacks in Bizzell Library are supposedly haunted from when a student stepped through a broken board and fell to his death.

2. There's a rumor that Bob Stoop's office is haunted and we can never win national title or bowl games.

I only at the last sentence understood that you meant your English teacher.
