The title gets the basic message across; is there a unique feature in the way you look? I understand that of course no one would I'll go first.

I come from a family with many red heads. My mother, my aunt and my uncle are all red heads. My little brother is also red headed, but when I was born I was the odd one out with brunette hair. There were jokes that I was mixed up with another family at birth and that there is a red headed baby somewhere. However, now that I'm a teenager and old enough to grow facial hair.. it turns out that I didn't completely escape the grasp of the ginger hair.

A small portion of the facial hair under my chin is red. It is actually really red and very clear to see. It turns out that I ended up having red hair after all, though in a really unexpected way.

My feet are shaped really oddly. Most feet have a natural curve to them. Usually they curve inward. But my feet... they more closely resemble planks of wood. They are almost completely straight. There is very little curve at all whatsoever.

Sometimes this has given me trouble. some shoes I just cannot wear comfortably because of the constant pressure it applies to my feet. My feet aren't even very large, it's just that shoes are designed for slightly curved feet in mind. Sandals are the worst of all. Especially crocs. When I wore crocs the plastic bit would be pushed up against the side of my feet uncomfortably. And if I didn't take them off for too long they'd actually peel a small piece of skin off of the sides of my feet. Painful.

What kinds of odd quirks do you have? I don't think I'm a unique and perfect snowflake or anything, but I'm curious to see what kinds of things people respond with.

My feet are fucked up too!

I was born with my Achilles tendon too short for my body. Practically, this means that when I walk, I walk up on my tip-toes because the muscle tightens if I walk like a normal person. I've had multiple surgeries to repair this (walking looks normal but I still run up on my tip-toes a lot) but the first decade or so of walking up like that has turned my toes into crushed midgets.

Basically, if normal toes are 2 inches long, mine are about 1/2 an inch long. It's weird and gross...

My right eye is higher up than my left eye. It used to be even more noticeable than it is now. But they're still in line, if you get what I mean, so people never notice unless I tell them.

That doesn't sound very pleasant at all.. at least you area little bit taller? It reminds me of some of the horror stories I've heard about some traditional Chinese footwear. Ever see those really small boots that they are sometimes shown wearing?
I don't know all of the culture behind it, but let's just say that ordinary shaped feet don't fit properly into these. Some people would seriously deform their feet in order to fit a pair of these one. It was ugly. (These shoes may not be quite size accurate.)

On the topic of Asian (that's a really bad segway)

People have told me that I look somewhat Asian myself. You can't tell when I have my glasses on, but I guess my eyes just have a certain way the lashes are or something? One time I took off my glasses and tried posing as a foreign exchange student. I used lots of stereotypes, and while I was quickly found out some people actually believed me.

I'm Canadian with Scottish, Dutch and even Aboriginal blood. I do have a Japanese cousin, but I'm related through his father who isn't Japanese himself.

I have nothing but respect for asians; I haven't met an asian person I didn't like!

I've seen pictures of the feet that would fit in there (Thanks Cracked.com!) and mine are not THAT bad :)

Except for looking icky, there is no real down-side to what my feet are like except that they're funny looking. I need to purchase wide-shoes so I suppose that's inconvenient (especially when buying dress shoes or athletic shoes. Seriously shoe makers; What the fuck!?!). Although my calves are wicked toned due to always being used so that's good!

Well, I am a ginger. Other then that I look mostly normal.

Any of my odd visual quirks come from my choice of attire. Namely: Suits. People sometimes find it odd when a random 21 year old student walks past in a suit. I have been mistaken for a lecturer twice. It is slightly amusing.

*thinks*

Oh, I am utterly average in every respect, with regards to muscle. Bar my calves. I am a smoker who lives on the top floor of a 4 story building that has no lift. I smoke somewhere between 5 and 20 cigarettes a day (It really depends on the day). As a result I have the calves of a cyclist.

And the slightly squishy, yet quite thin, body of someone who doesn't take any form of exercise, bar daily walks and going up and down those bloody stairs.

Tell me about it. I have rather large feet(size 14 1/2 American, EEE width) and need to special order my dress shoes, otherwise they don't fit right.

OT: I have tiny wrists. Let me put this into perspective first. Besides the large feet mentioned above, I have wide shoulders, wide hips, and long, muscular legs and arms. My watch size is ~6 inches. That's a small. Compared to the rest of my body, my wrists appear tiny.

I also have a very sharp, very low widow's peak. And it's only getting more prominent as the hair at my temples recedes. I'm like a fat, aged Eddie Munster.

I wouldn't underestimate the amount of exercise you get from walking up and down stairs every day. It can add up very quickly over the span of weeks. Not quite as much exercise as someone who works out 30 minutes a day would be but it's definitely more then a lot of people output.

Oh, I know, hence the decent legs.

I just mean I need to get round to doing some situps at some point to try and tone up my stomach a little bit. I used to have issues with regards to weight (Been too large, been WAY too thin) so its a difficult thing to try and balance.

People really need to take more exercise IMO. Not gyms and stuff, but walks. I try and get around Campus every day (There is a walk around the periphery called the woodland trail. It takes me about 40 minutes these days so it can be assumed to be about 3 miles +) and it does wonders. I know this is off topic but it comes from myself and my sister, anyone who has been "Diagnosed" with depression should be prescribed a half hour walk every day BEFORE any form of medication.

Walking around is good for you. It makes you feel better pretty much instantly.

This isn't a visual quirk per se, more a behavioural one, but a lot of people notice how I unconsciously turn my rings around my finger/thumb... a lot... and then I do that weird hand movement thing to consciously stop it.

As for actual visual quirks, I don't really have any... my right leg is hairier than my left... my left shoulder is higher than my right... but neither are discernable unless you actually look. *shrug*

When I look straight forward, you can tell that I am slightly cross eyed.
If I take a photo from the side, you can see that my eyes are totally pointing weird directions.
Kinda like Aya Hirano.

I make some really cartoony facial expressions. To the point where people lecturing me will just burst out laughing because of the expression I made while they were talking to me. They're not weird but people tell me they're insanely appropriate.

I guess I'd be really horrible at poker.

I heard it was due to the fact that by making the feet grow like that, wives couldn't run from their husbands. That may or may not be wrong.

I have permanent dark bags around my eyes that make me look tired all the time. I've tried to get rid of them but have given up.

I'm sorry for being that guy, but it's spelled "segue".

OT: I've been told that my legs are longer than they normally are for a person of my height, but I haven't actually bothered to check.

I learned something today. Don't worry about it, I'm that guy a lot of the time too. I'll never use that word incorrectly again!

I have a large penis growing out of my bellybutton.

Okay...that isn't true in the slightest...

Honestly I think I'm pretty normal in terms of my body. People often comment that the middle joints on my fingers are really wide and quite strange, quite a lot of people have said that, so it must be quite noticeable o_o

And this isn't really a visual quirk, but more like some interesting things that are hardwired into my brain..When I walk, I keep my right arm completely stiff and close to my body, but my left arm is doing the whole back and forth thing, and quite enthusiastically ...I've never really noticed anybody else doing that kind of thing...

And this doesn't apply when I'm walking with people I know, but if I'm walking through town by myself..Instead of just regular "left right left right" walking, I literally HAVE to do this little skip with my right foot while my left foot is coming toward the floor, so the pattern basically becomes " left right-hop left right-hop"...but I really don't notice it...When I do, I try to stop and I just end up getting really uncomfortable if I don't do it

My nose is slightly hooked/broken in the middle because I walked into a hard glass door as a child. Twice in one night, in fact. It never healed, and so my nose is not perfect, as it used to be.
