Have you ever been able to choose what you dream about?

'tis called lucid dreaming, and there are ways of training yourself to do it.

Some lucky bastards can do it entirely intuitively.
I used to be able to do it naturally, but now I can't. It was an amazing thing to be able to do. But for me it isn't choosing what I dream about, it's just modifying the dream at anytime.

I've noticed that I incorporate outside sounds into my dreams. If a song is playing on the radio, or people are talking in the real world, my dream just fits the noise in. Usually in a non-sensible way.

I've done that lol like one time my radio turned on (alarm to get up) and they played Bad Touch.. and everyone in my dream started dancing to it and singing all the words o.o

When I dream I am both awake and asleep, that is to say I'm aware of myself as the dreamer and the character in the dream. Unfortunately I'm an arse so though I may try and fly it will never quite work out

Image doesn't work for me, but if you're referring to lucid dreaming, yes I do that quite frequently.

It's quite fun though I do like to let my mind take over and show me some weird ass shit from time to time.

occasionally i can steer my dreams into certain directions, but for the most part its random.

For instance, during the summer, i light incense, play trance and take a nap during the day, the result is an acid trip like state in which everything is so surreal its hard to believe its awesome xD

I tend to dream about really mundane stuff, so I usually don't realise I'm dreaming. When I have more unusual content however, I realise within the dream early on. Usually I'll actually say things like "this is a dream" in the dream itself - which is kind of a spoiler because it no longer makes anything in the dream seem to matter.

I've lucid dreamed once or twice randomly. I couldn't control entirely what happened though I realized it was a dream.

I love dreams, SO FUCKING MUCH.
I wish I had more control over them. 99.9% of the time I don't realise it's a dream until I wake up. Only once have I realised it was a dream, and my god that one was brilliant.

No, I am jealous of those people who can. I'm lucky if I even have dreams anymore. *sobs in corner*

To quote your username:

Yes, I have been able to considerably change my dreams to whatever I want.

Isn't that technique from like, Harry Potter or something?
Anyways, I did that technique from Harry Potter (strange enough) and it worked! But I have found myself in my dream once, you know where you realize its actually a dream?
Do you mean Occlumency?

OT: No, I haven't. I've never really tried though. Although, occasionally, I go into a half awake, half asleep state, in which I can. Not sure if that counts?

Oh yeah, and Scott Pilgrim is amazing!

Yep. I visualise it as kind of a movie reel, with each frame representing a different dream. The odd thing is, the older the dream, the rarer it is I can lucid dream properly.

For example, I have logged some dreams from when I was 6. I have awareness, but I can't control anything. Newer dreams, I have full control over. They're like Fallout 3 or Oblivion. I know the main story is there, I can just choose to avoid it if I want.

If I have a dream that I like, I can add it to the reel. From there it acts like the "Oblivion" dreams: I can follow the original story, or go out and make a new one.

Yes I can but most of the time I choose not to even try. I like seeing what my unconscious mind comes up with. Dreaming lets my imagination run wild without any consious thought or manipulation so I might as well leave it to do so and enjoy the 'film'.
