Om Halo 3 I once had a network connection of almost zero, and I didn't click anything on my controller and I was lagging so bad I was getting kills.

I like spawned a warthog on someone and got a kill. It was so messed up. o_O

Though, I suppose I kinda was cheating.

Have you ever been accused of cheating in any way? This applies to all online gaming services. You can post what service and what game if you want. I'll start off:

Service: Xbox LIVE

Game: Call of Duty 4

Reason: Someone decided that I must be using a rapid fire controller because I emptied a clip from the G3 pretty quickly. I don't have a mod though, for the record.

This is intended to be a fun topic - please don't flame people etc. Also, I'm sorry if this is a repost.
Combat Arms, a nexon game. Happened all the time. It's a free to play game with low requirements, so a lot of people who can't afford "the good stuff" play it. But I run with a fairly expensive rig. Consequently, I never experienced slowdown, and I ran circles around the unfortunate souls who couldn't afford a better rig.

Service: Steam

Game: Team Fortress 2

Reason: I one-shotted a demoman with a crit ubersaw. I have no idea how much health he had, but he then went on a five minute rant about how I was hacking, and tried to get the admin to ban me. He ended up getting banned instead.

Game: Day of Defeat

I've been kicked and/or banned dozens of times because of my 'mad nade skillz'. (I used to average 400 nk's a month.) Because I have a Dolby surround sound headset, I can always hear where people are when they don't walk silently, so I can prime a nade in time to air-burst it just as you come up to a corner/put it in the window you just shot a buddy from/etc. It's mostly a matter of using my head and knowledge of the map instead of my fading twitch skills. (I've actually been accused of wallhacking with nades; no lie.)

Let's look at my qualifications:
Do I have Xbox Live? Yes
Do I play multiplayer over XBL? Yes
Do the games I play have 12-year olds in them? Unfortunately, yes
Have I won against said 12-year olds? Yes

Logic dictates that I have indeed been accused of cheating.

sometimes, by amateurs who don't know what they are doing.

i usually play on games where hacking is impossible without drawing attention, or where communication is completely impossible.

so it's mostly in real life that i get these accusations.

Most recently, I got accused of being able to see a cloaked and/or disguised spy in TF2. I was a scout, and I killed him several times. A good number of the times was just spy checking. Other times, I would bump into him and then run around swinging my bat to find him. I guess he just never really got it.

Last week in Duty 4 my friends and I beat a clan a couple of times in a row, and they started yelling "mods" and "lag switch" in the lobby. Then they left - turns out one of them was the host the whole time.

THEN they invite us into a private match, and only 3 (out of 4) of us go. They pick the map (Overgrown) and we beat them again, only they all quit right before the game ended.

I had a feeling the chants of "lag switch" were only a joke at first, but after the private invites and the quitting, it may have just been an over-inflated ego.

Reason: I managed to catch the 3 best players on the other team off guard and kill them all in a few seconds with my FAMAS. The person accused me of hacking to which I responded "If I was hacking, I would be winning" which I wasn't...

I haven't been accused of cheating because of this which I'm surprised at. On CoD4 I can empty a clip from the M21 in about a second, almost all the shots hitting the person.
HI-FIVE my man.

Cheating? Can you cheat while versing others? Haxors. I almsot got kicker out while on a noob-owning-spree.

well, playing call of duty 4 with an AK-47 no attachment, bandolier, steady aim, and juggernaut. i managed to earn a 30 kill streak. however, the sudden accusations of cheating are always fun, and i had to explain that

1. the server has 25 people on each team and moving while shooting with that many players per team makes for large killstreaks.
2. hardcore mode reduces the health of the player, making death faster.

eventually, the owner of the server sided with me and the accusers finally left me alone about my playing.

Call of duty 4.

Hardcore mode. Can't remember the map, it was raining and grassy. I picked my sniper class because of the ghillie Suit and UAV jammer.

Because of my camouflage, the rainy map, all the grass and bushes and my stealth skills I was practically invisible. I was getting so many surprise knife kills they accused my of hacking several times.

Well, I've played Halo AND CoD. And I have had at least one kill... And somewhere in there I've won a match.

We've all had those "Holy shit, I got him?" moments before, and each and every one can be explained away by the victim calling hack.
