Have you ever been attacked by an animal

Since I live in Ireland, where there are literally no poisonous animals, no reptiles, and virtually no large predators, I was wondering what dangerous animals you live with on a daily basis, and if you have ever been attacked by an animal.
I have never been attacked or threatened by any wild animals, I was once bitten someones pet dog, but thats pretty much as bad as it can get here.

No, I have been bitten by pets, but they haven't continued to harass me.

Well, I was once attacked by a penguin in a zoo! Does that count?

So I don't have to clarify later; my cousin worked at a zoo and I helped him feed them. But when I tried doing holding one of them and letting them come to me, as he said I should, it started pecking my right leg.

Gave me quite a shock.

I have been attacked by a creature most file and ferocious...it just keeps on menacing and enraging me into attacking it.

Until I SNAP and hit it.

I also live in ireland, so my worst experience is being chased up the beach by a sausage dog. I was scared of dogs at the time so it was pretty traumatising.

Rattlesnake once when I was little. I live in the desert, what do you expect?
Also got bitten by a scorpion on my toe that was way north of its regular territory about five years ago. Haven't walked properly since.

Well, I was almost bitten by a dog. It was thrilling! That's about it.

I've gotten my upper lip bitten in half by a dog, and been bitten by a snake. Although I killed the snake shortly after.

Cows - 2
Dogs - 3
Rats - More than ten
Goats - 1
Roosters - Several
Cats - Several
Geese - 1
Seagulls - 2

Ironically, the rats have done the most permanent damage. Thankfully, the cow that tried to gorge me with her horns missed or I possibly wouldn't be here...

I'm not counting the times when an animal has caused a threatening situation unintentionally.

Well, it wasn't being attacked per se, but I did find myself accidentally with only my back-yard's fence in between me and a black panther. Christ, that thing's paws were almost twice the size of my hand!

I have gotten attacked by a few pets before but none of my encounters with wild animals, be they larger or smaller than I, resulted in inter-species fisticuffs. For instance when I was little further than 20 yards from a young bear, both of us were scared but respectful. I gave him (or her) plenty of distance walking around him/her and (s)he continued on his/her way.

I've been attacked by my neighbours dog, got bit by a copperhead snake, and once had a turtle bite my upper lip and not let go for two hours when I was about six...I tried to give it a kiss
