Well... My dog likes pouncing me from time to time, growling snapping and stealing my socks...

I love that dog!

I was mauled by a goose as a child. I still have the scars. Viscious creatures.

Outside of that.... Yeah, dog. Stupid ugly little yappy dog. "Oh, how cute, it's repeatedly biting you and you're bleeding everywhere. Why would I pull it away? It's adorab- WHY DID YOU KICK MY DOG, YOU DOG ABUSER!"

I was also bitten by a cat, straight through the wrist, right before it died. That was a fun time. I don't blame the cat for that, my wrist recovered.

I was attacked by a dog once, started running at me barking, bit my leg so I shoved it away and it started coming back so I kicked it in the head. the owner started yelling at me as I walked away ignoring him.

(for the record I do not partake in nor do I condone animal cruelty, I simply found myself in a situation wherein I was being attacked and defended myself as such.)

Gerbils, vicious little things.

I worked in a pet store once, and these little things would burrow around the food bowl. Then when I reached in to give them fresh food, they'd jump out of the sawdust, cling to my hand and give it a ferocious mauling.

They planned it!

My dog bit me once. I bit it back. And after that incident, she knew who was the lord and master. And I've been allowed to tease her more than anybody else without her doing anything.

I wasn't really 'attacked' but a chimpanzee once fell onto me...
Yes I'll be needing to explain this one, well I was in a zoo and across the main path is this walkway for the monkeys.
Yess you guessed it I walked under it and suddenly one of the smaller chimp's decides it might be a good time too fall of the dam walkway and apparently it scared the living shit out of us both and it just ran the f#ck off

another one,
I got chased half a mile to our safari car ( I was at the World cup soccer 2010 and decided to experience a safari ) By a dam scary demonic like honey badger

Yup , I grew up on a farm , so been attacked by a lot of animals , but the most hurtful one was when a horse kicked me in the chest, I guess I was 10 and I'm sure I flew a few meters, at least it felt like it. Took some time to get back on that horse for sure.

Well, I've been bitten by insects, bitten by a non venomous snake, and scratched / bitten by domestic dogs / cats.
As for large wild predators I have never been attacked. Considering the amount of time I have spent in the deep woods that is fortunate.

Uh. When I was a kid, a goat tried to ram me.
I caught it by the horns and it just gave up after that, but that sort of counts, right?

Also irish, so nothing really interesting. Never was stupid enough to bother a vicious looking dog or whatever.

An octopus wrapped around my arm and wouldn't let go, when I was diving in Greece.
Also, many geese and swans chased me around a park in Germany when I was little.

So I don't have to clarify later; my cousin worked at a zoo and I helped him feed them. But when I tried doing holding one of them and letting them come to me, as he said I should, it started pecking my right leg.

Gave me quite a shock.
That reminds me, a bird shat on my foot at the zoo once. As in, walked up, sat on my foot, took a shit, and flew off.

Does that count?

One more step and I would've been charged by a moose and her calf. I seriously didn't see her there until I decided to look up.

I live in Mississippi so there are a fair amount of dangerous animals. Mostly snakes and I've been bitten by one once, but thankfully it was non-venomous. Just last year during the winter I was going out to do some laundry and turn on the laundry room lights and got bit by a snake that had gotten on top of the dryer. The thing ran off, but I thought at first it had been Cottonmouth so I rushed to the emergency room, but found out it was most likely a Southern Black Racer. Still it can be scary. At least I don't live near the river then alligators would be a concern. Other then snakes, spiders can be pretty dangerous around here. Used to have problems with black widows nesting nearby, but a big grassy field got built over by a corporation and haven't seen much of them since. Occasional bobcat nearby, but I don't hear about anyone getting attacked by them.

Yes.
Stupid fucking dogs. I've also been stalked by a mountain lion before as well, though I haven't seen any since I moved.

Since I live in Ireland, where there are literally no poisonous animals, no reptiles, and virtually no large predators, I was wondering what dangerous animals you live with on a daily basis, and if you have ever been attacked by an animal.
I have never been attacked or threatened by any wild animals, I was once bitten someones pet dog, but thats pretty much as bad as it can get here.
i got out of the shower and my dog bit my "head" one time....
