Have you ever been glad to see a game end?

Well I've been glad about a lot of endings, but usually for story reasons (for instance, the ending to the first and third Halo games were pretty epic, and seeing that come to a close was satisfying).

Though I did once have to review The Golden Compass for a website. I was definitely glad to see that end.

Condemned and Condemned 2. They weren't bad games but I think if they stayed around any longer they be overstaying their welcome.

final fantasy x-2.
'nuff said.
No, please expand?

OT: Halo Combat Evolved. I finished just as I was getting bored of the combat, so it was great timing.
I thought the overall idea of the story was good, having Yevons hidden secrets exposed and all.
But the way the story was told was a little, i don't know, "cheesey"?
I'm not a big fan of Final Fantasy's love stories so i guess thats why i didn't enjoy it so much, seeing as the main plot line was Yuna searching for Tidus.
I gave it the benefit of the doubt and played it until the end, but when it was over i was just glad. I'm always going to finish a game even if i'm not that into it because i hate leaving things unfinished and i wanted to see if it got any better.
Plus, the added kick in the teeth is that not everyone is going to get the "good" ending, & i just wasn't that impressed with the game to then sit through it again to actually obtain it.

Metal Gear Solid 4, i had been playing for 4 hours straight and i just wanted to go to bed, but the cutscenes...just...wouldn't....stop (haha still a great game but the situation really sucked)

No problems there... I have a bad habit of pressing buttons repeatedly during cutscenes, so managed to get the good ending without realising.
Once I found out that there was a supposedly 'better' ending, I youtubed it, and to be honest... I don't like that scene anyway!

I was glad to see the credits roll in Bioshock, I liked the game but the intensity was getting to me at the end. I could only play it for about an hour at a time and was glad to have finally completed it.
That's pretty much what Dead Space was for me.

No More Heroes.
Normally I don't play through a whole game if I'm not enjoying myself but I played through that one hoping to see what all the critics were raving about.
Now I just assume that most critics are touched in the head.

You know it's funny, when I don't like a game, I generally don't play it through to the end.

Must be just me.
Trogdor the Burninator is correct.

However, there is always a game which is not awful, but mediocre. I was very glad to see the end of the Quantum of Solace game.

I ended up going on Youtube to get it as well.
I just think the game could of been told in a better way, X was fantastic, but X2 really let it down.

For me, it's usually when I'm done getting a cerntain number of achievements for a given game. For example, I "pawned" Left 4 Dead when I got the achievements I knew I could unlock without a dumptruck-load-of-dead-zombies amount of frustration. I got 935/1250 and for me that's a success.
Other games like Portal: Still Alive and Battlefield 1943 I've gotten all the achievements for them and I just stopped caring for them because there was nothing else to work towards.

-AND THEN-

Some other games like Turok, 170/1000, I stopped playing because it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. The game just felt broken, the A.I. was very unforgiving, some of the dinosaurs were unbelieveablely cheap [[i.e. like the crocodile one who could climb trees and leap distances that would make the Hunters in Left 4 Dead jealous]], QTE up the WA-ZOO (most of which were triggered by the tree-climbing corcodiles), and a couple of the bosses were too difficult to beat and resulted in trail and error matches rather than an actual strategy.

Too Human, I can't believe I actually finished it, its just so tedious and repetitive.

COD4 MW on veteran as I very rarely play something on the hardest difficulty unless I really really enjoy it. It was worth it though, hopefully MW2 will have the same addictive qualities

Sonic 06, soooo broken
You actually finished that game? I never made it past the fucking train level.
OT: FFVII. I was bored with it by the time I reached the crater, but I was determined to see it through to the end.
With Sonic? That trian outran me as much as it would have done in real life, and with Shadow don't even fucking go there. The motorbike chase would have been epic, if the train wasn't so fucking cheap to kill.
Sonic. I didn't even know Shadow had a train level. With Sonic the deal breaker was the auto running section, the part where you had to defuse the bombs was irritating enough, but that auto-running section broke me.

Most Recently? Uncharted 2.
Sorry, the single player campaign got ridiculously frustrating towards the end, I just wanted the bonus shop unlocked so I could play the fun parts in a new way.

Metroid Prime 3. I was excited for the ending, and the final boss was pretty intense.

Oblivion, just because it took so long to experience even a portion of that game, that by the time I finished with Shivering Isles, I was just glad to be able to play something else.

Tales of Symphonia

I love the combat in that game, but the story is just fucking terrible. That game can't go 10 minutes without creating another plot hole. Now that I'm older I can't even think about playing the game again just because the story is so bad.
