have you ever been in a paintball match before?

Every time I went, it was a session with only people we knew so we didn't have to deal with some idiots and dickheads that turn up to paint balling.
One time we did a scenario of a napoleonic era fight.
Single line, two teams, taking turns to shoot, and you stayed in the line even if you got shot.
Pretty painful.
Also kind of annoying when you get hit and the paintball doesn't explode. Kind of lucky that you're still in the game, but hurts more than the normal paintball.

Yes, and it was the worst 3 hours I've ever spent money on.
Paying £15 to sit in a cold, muddy countryside being barricaded by tiny pellets that sting like buggery because of the cold, and not being able to fire back because my mask was so crappy I could barely see even when it wasn't steamed up has certainly not persuaded me to go again.

I got shot in the upper thigh...It made a bulls eye and hurt like funk. We played capture the flag, a stronghold-esque game and team deathmatch.

I've been to about seven paintball places with my friends and roughly six games each time.
The second trip was the worst, i got shot on the dick and up the arse all in one match

I only played paint ball once and that was at last summer's Escapism Uk. It was great fun, but the hits do sting a bit although I'm to caught up in the action, so I just forget them.

Would love to try it again sometime.

Ahhh...yeah.... Call me a little weener, but I have this thing against getting shot. Even if it is a pellot of paint.

I love to go Paintballing when the weather is right with me wife and a few of my mates. We have a gulley here that is great for that.

Yeahh yeah. It's great fun! You know you're not supposed to aim at the head right? Yeah I got hit, it's too unexpected for it to hurt much. I did similar gametypes to you, but with a base assault with a bomb. That's an epic gametype.
well there are masks for that, and i once made the greatest shot in HISTORY. i shot a guy who was hiding behind some barrels, and the ball curved in the wind and hit him. WIN.

I play as regularly as funds allow. And yes I aim for the head, if that is all they are going to stick out of cover then you are darn right I am going to shoot there. I'll play just about any game as long as it takes place somewhere other than a speedball field.

Yes, usually the games I've played have been offense/defense. However I have played a few games of assassination and they were pretty cool. I've gotten hit a bunch of times (yes they hurt a bit), but I've also gotten a bunch of people. I've gotten a few headshots too (which are really satisfying, seeing the paint splatter all over their mask).

I did it once, and decided it was way too expensive to do again.. not that it wasn't fun, but the level of fun didn't really justify the cost.

I did get shot in the side of the head a couple of times but both were at a decent range so it wasn't too bad. The real ***** was being shot in the thigh from a few meters away. Still, it missed my crotch so I considered it a lucky escape at the time.

It's interesting though, and it's definitely an eye opener for those who think playing first person shooters would make you useful in real combat. Real projectiles naturally make you cautious. I spent a lot of time hiding.
