On Sunday HBO aired the first 14 minutes of their adaptation of A Game of Thrones and I almost died from excitement. I've been following the production ever since I first started reading the books and started a thread on here asking who should play which characters in a theoretical movie. Someone pointed out that HBO was already doing a series of it and I started following the production very closely. This was about two years ago, and I can honestly say that I haven't been this excited for something my whole life.

So I ask you, have you ever been really excited for something? And if so what was it?

Also I have the video down below if anyone wants to watch it, and feel free to comment on it.

When I went to see Wicked, it was like my body was humming I was so excited. Also, whenever I watch a Portal 2 video, I get fidgety and holding it in makes me hyperactive (in some weird excitement backlash).

I want that show so bad I'm not letting myself watch any of it, because I don't think I can get it.

OT: Probably Spore. When I first heard about it, and what it was going to be, I felt a very urgent need to have that game.

It was a major disappointment, but oh man, did I ever want it before it came out.

I usually get like this for every Bioware/Obsidian title, and sometimes the odd action or rpg (or action/rpg!) that looks like its a new spin on things. After torturing myself with Mass Effect 1 by following it daily/weekly for about two years prior to its release, I finally developed a system where I only check out the info released on the game about two weeks or so before the big day, this keeps me from going crazy with distraction, and not let myself hype up what the game will be like in my head.

I don't find movies to be entertaining for the most part, so I don't get excited about them. I only watch a few TV series, so when their new seasons come up I barely remember that they were off in the first place. There's only one on-going book series I'm reading (Dresden Files), so that's not a big deal to me either.

I always get super excited about a week before going to a concert. I don't anything can beat the amazing feeling you get from seeing your favourite bands live.

I was extremely psyched for about a month before the Watchmen movie came out. I ended up being fairly disappointed, though I've grown to enjoy it.

My parents began changing the channel every time a commercial for The Dark Knight came out, because I'd get all giddy and start telling them how great it had better be. I was NOT disappointed.

Most recently...I'm going to see Rush in about 12 hours, and to say I've been extremely excited ever since I got the tickets for Christmas would be an understatement

Probably Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, I was watching the trailers constantly before it came out.

God of War as well, it was also awesome that the shop selling this game included a free copy of Jason of the Argonauts (Ray Harryhausen one) with it, those style of movies were my favourite as a kid.

The first game hype I can remember that really got me jazzed was Super Mario Bros 2.

As for which game has gotten me the most pumped? Basically anything by Rockstar. They're never done me wrong and have gotten consistently better with each game. *cough*StateofEmergencyneverhappened*cough*

And yes, that means I liked 4 better than San Andreas. What, yuwannafightaboudit?

My first trip to a game convention, which was PAX09. I was completely giddy at the thought of meeting the cast of Red vs Blue and the dev team of Halo: Reach.

I got no sleep the nights before Halo 3 and Halo: Reach were released. Not because I went to a midnight release (damn you school and your tests).

No disappointments on any of them.
