No. But hes review of Shadow of the Colossus is making me more sure to buy it. Of course when it comes out as a HD collection

No. What's more, I've bought games he hated, like The Witcher.

I enjoy watching ZP, but ultimately I'm going to play what I like, not what he likes.

When I see 'I don't take him seriously.' All I think is SSBB fan. I wonder if he's still getting hate mail for that?

To answer the question, no. But that's because I pretty much know what I want from the get go, being a gamer since I was 5. I listen to Yahtzee to confirm all the things I had problems with. Like, I love Batman AA but I still wanted to hear him rip it apart.

No. I take Yahtzee's point from his reviews into account when deciding whether or not to buy something (for instance, the fact that Mass Effect 1's inventory screen is indeed... not very well designed), but I've never bought a game on his recommendation alone.

Yes, I bought "No More Heroes" on his recommendation (Well that at it was stupidly cheap). And to be honest, I didn't like it that much.

I do own a few games that he has reviewed. The only games I like as much as him are Portal and Batman Arkham Asylum. On the others I allmost completely disagree with his reviews.

Don't get me wrong, I like his reviews but I see them more as entertainment than a balanced weighing of pros and cons.

Nope, especially since many of the things he dislikes are things I really like, like dialogue in an RPG. If I were to follow his advice on what games to get I would probably have to slice my current collection in half.

I got silent hill 2 and painkiller off of his 'reviews'.
Both good games, and I do not regret it

I got Saints Row 2 based on Yahtzee's and Graham from LRR's recommendations. God that was a fun game.

Also Silent Hill 2 I got because of him. That is now one of my favourite games evar.

Nope. To me, his videos are an amusing exercise in pessimism. And I rarely buy games at all, only rent them.

After Yahtzee's review of Batman: Arkham Assylum, I decided to give the demo another chance and ended up buying it. Although it wasn't the only person saying it was very good, it was the straw that broke the camel's back... So, I guess I did bought it because of him.

Psychonauts when it was on Steam sale for $4.50 or something.

Thanks for wasting my $4.50, jerk.

Now I just watch them for the comedy.

No... I consider him an entertainer more than a critic. He can be funny, sure, but I wouldn't follow his advice for games. I get the feeling he actually hates gaming at times, with all of his bitching, but I think he just likes to accentuate the negative for entertainment purposes.
