I am, like a lot of members at The Escapist, a big fan of Zero Punctuation.
I have a PS2 with GTA San Andreas and i thought it was nothing short of a masterpiece. Recently i bought a XBox 360 and i wanted a open-world shooting gangster mayham game for it like GTA. But i didn't had the money at the time. Then i saw Yahtzee's review of Saints row 2, the game that has been on the lowest shelf for 2 years in my local game-store. I bought it for about 15 bucks and i think it was money well spend.

Did you ever bought a game on the advice of Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation reviews? If you did are you happy with it or are dissapointed?

I did pick up Saints Row 2, but not only on Yahtzee's advice. If I did just get games Yahtzee approved of my game library would be oh so small.

I am kicking around the idea of Saints Row 2, and also checked out Psychonauts. It was creative but not as good as he made it out to be.

Fantasy World Dizzy ;-)

In all seriousness yes, I also picked up Saints Row 2 after his glowing review. I usually dislike GTA-style sandbox games but I did like that one (and Prototype.)

Tom Clancy's HAWX. I feel ripped off, that game was really short with no replay value. :(

In total, I think he had an approval rating of 4 games. He is not a reviewer, he's a critic. He ripped apart Borderlands, and I still like it and so do a few friends from college.

Saints Row 2 and Silent Hill 2.

Pretty good and 'meh', respectively. Considering I got them both together for about 10 dollars, I'm alright with it. Though I mostly watch his videos for entertainment, he's dumped on a few games I really liked, didn't make me not get them though.

I actually bought Painkiller when it was on sale on Steam recently because of his review. The game is a bit dated by today's standards, but it did have different environments, and enemies instead of the same enemies and environments that are just 're-painted' as well as a gun that shoots shuriken's and lightning...

Saints Row 2 like most of people. And he made me come back to the old titles like Psychonauts, Thief, Silent Hill and Shadow of the Collosus.

Maybe his Just Cause 2 review could have influenced me a little bit, but I also got word from other places.

I don´t care if the story is shit, but an unrealistic and overthetop action game to blow of steam was what I wanted out of it and the game is stupid fun.

Nope, in fact i've bought games against ZP advisement. (Demon's Souls is absolutely bloody amazing)

I take his videos as a bit of a laugh.

No, but he did manage to intrigue me into renting the game in question on a couple of occasions. The one that sticks out in my mind is Saints Row 2, which in my most humble opinion can crawl under a rock and die with all the other shit-tastic games that have enjoyed undue popularity over the years.

Have never bought or not bought any games based on his opinion.. Since he only focuses on bad things in game and not on all the good things that normally outweigh the bad ones..

I usually check metacritic, and use Youtube gameplay videos to see if it potentially has some quality to it..
