Have you ever broken the Lore?

No, I'm not talking about that time you wired up your brake lights to your accelerator so people would stop tailgating you, or the day you finally decided how many strikes with a keyboard it takes to get to the soft, pasty centre of your co-worker's skull, I'm talking about going against the gods' will and breaking the sacred Lore.

I downloaded that Space Core mod for Skyrim once, but I never meddled with those jiggly boob mods, because those always made me slightly odd in the abyssal depths of my stomach. When I was still playing the original Left 4 Dead, there was a great Johnny Bravo skin and sound mod for the tank that I used to use. Both mods took all seriousness out of the game whenever they were active.

So, is there something you want to confess, sinners? How have you broken the Lore and how severe was your transgression?

I play KotOR with a female Revan and a Male Exile. Because fuck you, Canon.

In terms of mods, I do distinctly remember putting a TARDIS mod in Fallout 3. It was pretty detailed, but it wasn't very good, and ridiculously buggy. I also run around Skyrim with keyblades and lightsabers.

Aside from that, if a game is good, I don't tend to put that many lore-breaking mods into it. Fallout: New Vegas, for example, is a game I adore, and I get so immersed in it that I feel like putting stuff like TARDISes and the space core would be detrimental to the experience.

I did make an exception for that one mod that gives you a Frank Horrigan companion. Because that was awesome.

Midas Magic is pretty lore break-ish in Oblivion.

Though IIRC, most of my play though in Oblivion all involves using blackjacks/water arrow (with some form magic of course) to rob or mug some taffers and then sell the loots to some merchant under a sewer.

I also use the console command to test alot of little things out, so that would probably also count. (Stuff like pitting 10 cazador up against 20 NCR elite to see who will win. Or testing out all the Dragons with all those Dragon in all those Dragon overhauls)

L.A. Noire.

My Cole Phelps committed 417 counts of vehicular homicide, 833 counts of inflicting grievous bodily harm, 1052 counts of reckless driving and too many traffic violations to count.

Then I discovered that there was an fast travel option that let me skip all the tedious driving.

It's makes for some rather grim humour actually. Since Cole is supposed to be a good chap, the game tries to justify your vehicular indiscretions by making Cole yell stuff like, "Oh God!", "I'm sorry!", "Call an ambulance!" or "Outa the way!" So you can be reversing back over someone and repeatedly grinding them under your tyres and the whole time Cole will be screaming, "Oh God, why don't they move?" in a distressed manner.

I'm kind of impressed that she managed to find a cliff to drive off.

I havnt played TOR MMO, but in KotOR II when you speak to Atton, Revan is by default a woman and dark side is she not?

...Kind of.

It's left entirely vague about Revan's gender until you decide it. Depending on which gender you choose, Atton's ignorance or accuracy both fit into the plot and his character. But when writing Kotor 2, Obsidian did envision Light Side Female Revan as Canon.
