For those who were in or are still in school, have you ever taken you DS, PSP, Game Boy, 3DS, PSVITA, etc. to school and played it. I bring my 3DS to school with me almost every day. I usually play during my lunch or durring those graveyard periods (days where we do nothing in class).

I usually did it for big events like those sport days.
Me and a few friends would bring our handhelds and just play games together whenever we weren't being forced to participate. Good times.

Not at school no. I never had a handheld during my school days. I do bring it to work though. In fact I'm currently playing my 3DS whilst browsing online forums..... Working hard lol.

Get back to work ShinyCharizard.

I'm not paying you to goof off and play videogames.

In fact, I'm not paying you at all!

Moreover, I will continue to withhold all of your pay and allowances until you cease this tomfoolery and lollygagging.

Shame on you! Shame!

*Ahem* As for the topic, I never really did. I'm guilty of bringing Magic: The Gathering cards once or twice, but that's about the extent of it.

I had a Game Gear back then but I never took it to school, mostly something to play when I was on vacation with the family and they got the TV while at the hotel after the daily activities. I was told that kids might steal it, and I had Magic the Gathering cards and pogs stolen from me, so it wasn't an unfounded fear. I did bring the crappy Tiger Electronic games to school, who cared if one of those got stolen.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... DUUUUUUUUUUUUUN DUUUN DUN DUN you know the rest. Yeah I used to bring my Game Boy Color to school to use during break time. The only game I had was Pokemon. The only game anybody had for Game Boy was Pokemon. I'd fight other kids or trade or just play on my own. Fun times.

Oh yeah, I played a ton of my handhelds when I still went to school! Though then, it was still a hick town with very few nerds around, so I was picked on over it for some retarded reason. Didn't stop me though: I brought them ever since I got them up 'till Senior year in High School.

My school never allowed us to use technology besides before school and after school, even during lunch. But we did bring our DSs and stuff before to play and trade some pokemon. We also had a awesome teacher our senior year who just let us play on our phones and DSs the last 45 minutes of school.

not in k-12 (well afterschool sometimes we would trade pokemon or whatever) because they wouldn't allow it, it was more they didn't allow anything from home being brought rather than them targeting video games.

in college I just use my laptop and emulate whatever if I'm bored in class (happens quite often, but the lecturer's usually don't' allow laptops during class so I just revert to napping or spacing out.)

Oh do I have a story to tell you.

In the 11th grade, I brought my Nintendo DS, original brick, to Japanese class because it was the last day of school and well, why not. I was playing with it when another girl lost her DS and accused me of stealing it, as I was playing my DS. Well about 3 hours later, and after a police search, it turned out one person who sat behind her stole her DS, and put it inside his locker. He was arrested after that, and I vowed never to bring my DS to school again. >.>

Another time I brought my PSP to school, actually more than once. Once on the last day of the 9th grade, and that's where I first beat Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core. Another time was after the Advanced Placement exams and we were done with classes so I brought my PSP and let a girl I really liked play it. We had a lot of fun and bonded...and now I've brought up bad memories of what happened with said girl when I asked her to the Prom...

In college...actually now that I think about it I've never brought any of my systems to my college the past 2 years I've been there. Then again that's a good thing since muggings are quite common at my college, and the crime reports are always so racially similar that everyone at my college jokes that they are the same people stealing everything. XD

Yep.

Bought everything from my Gameboy to my Gameboy Color to my GB Advanced to my DS to my PSP.

Playing a game while a boring lecture is going on, is just great.

I don't have a hand held (I want one but I have other things I need to buy). Closest I have is cellphone games, mostly to play on the train and in between lectures (I had a 4 hour break on one of my days last year) though *cough* sometimes to play during lectures to.

Brought my GBA to Elementary School... just to do Pokemon trades/battles...

Brought my GBA SP to the first of two Middle Schools I went to... Got stolen along with my GameShark...

Brought my DS to High School... just to show off either 358/2 Days or The World Ends With You...

Brought my PSP to High School... just to play Birth By Sleep multiplayer...

Still bring my PSP to my College... just to listen to music...

Still bring my 3DS to my College... just to see how many other people are playing X and/or Y...

Overall... I will say "yes" to my past... and still "yes" to this day...

Electronics were banned in my schools, which always ticked me off.... towards the end of high school, I'd bring my PSP. It was my music player and during class I would occasionally play Metal Gear Acid. I found that turn based games were ideal for when you had to perodicaly pay attention to class.

I just recently got the 2DS and I've been taking it to work everynight that I close and I play it during my final hours at work.

when I was in middle school, the bus ride to school was about 30 minutes, and all of my buds were pretty early on the drop off list, so I would bring my PSP to play on the bus
never really played it in school, unless I really had nothing better to do, like when it was raining outside and they had us sitting in the auditorium for gym
