Did it with my GBA in elementary school a lot, I still bring my 3DS occasionally (I'm in high school btw) but not often-- no time in classes anymore(usually) and I'd rather just talk to people during lunch-- with the notable exception of right after the release of Pokemon X & Y. Hell half my school was walking around with 3DSs for a few weeks after that.

I used to take my Gameboy to school with me, I used to play it on the school bus, even to point of having massive Tetris competitions. Sure made that long journey fly by just a bit quicker.

Well... back when the GameBoy first came out (the big gray one) I would bring it in my backpack and play on the bus and in-between classes in elementary school. I loved that thing and am still pissed it just up and disappeared on me during a summer car ride home from my grandparents house. I never got another one and I was almost finished with the first Gargoyle's Quest...

My friends and I used to all bring our Gameboy Advances to school so we could play Pokemon together. I happened to get a female Blaziken without even realising till half way through the game in Pokemon Sapphire, so I bred it with a Torkoal that knew some fire type TMs (I think Fire Blast) and hatched Torchics that knew said TM, before selling them to kids for $2 a Torchic, $5 for a female one.

I was RICH, RICH I TELLS YA.

Does High School count?
In saying so I only started bring in my GBA when I was a 6th former (17/ 18 year old pupil). That when we have fewer lessons to learn for A Level exams meaning free periods during the day. Since there were no tv and the pc were public, limited and the internet were monitor (not for porn! I mean if I wanted to played some shockwave games!) I get out my GBA to play during the free period.

Last year I had my old game boy advance sp in my coat with me to play pokemon in between classes. I also use the emulator on my smartphone to play game boy games so I actually always have a hand-held with me. Anyone with a smartphone does actually if you look at it.

My GBA was stolen in 4th grade. I knew who took it but I didn't have any proof.

in more recent ears I started bringing my DS to school with me but I never take it off of me unless I have somewhere safe to put it.

Bringing my Gameboy Pocket to school to show off my progress in Pokemon Blue was like the highlight of my lunch hour back when I was in elementary school. I've always brought my gaming equipment with me to work and school, never stopped loving the Gameboy or the DS. Now that I'm in college, StreetPasses on my 3DS let me know I'm not the only one around who loves their on-the-road video games.

I remember being the only kid on the playground that had a trade link cable that worked. I ran the entire Pokemon trading schtick. I was the God damn Godfather of Pokemon.

Plenty of people had their stuff stolen at my primary school so I only took my gameboy in on the rare days when we were told we could bring in whatever we liked.

I still remember absolutely annihilating that kid who thought his glitch lv264 Raichu stood a chance. And the rest of his team. With one pokémon.

I wasn't so lucky with those Digimon tamagotchis though. Somehow mine always died after a battle.

Used to bring my gameboy advanced daily to school back in 3, 4 and 5th grade. Started going it again in my second year in high school since I normally had to sit and wait 1 hour after school for the bus home and all my friends had already gotten on their buses and taken to leaving the town the school was in.

Last year I brought my GameBoy to university. The big fat old one. It's a university of technology, so I shouldn't have been surprised that I got four people offering to buy it from me. Naturally I refused. :)

My friends and I used to play it during tedious events like sports days. The stands would always have several rows of people at the back playing games like Monster Hunter on their PSPs.

I never took my gameboy or other handhelds to school, the theft rate at my high school was horrible, the kids would steal anything, they stole the earphones for my mp3 player once, not the player (I had it on me) but the earphones.
