The movie Hachiko is a really sad dog movie and made me tear: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachiko:_A_Dog%27s_Story

Also, the (good) endings of Bioshock 1 and 2 were rather emotional.

Little background, my grandpa (mom's dad) and grandma (dad's mom) died 7 days apart 12 years ago and I didn't shed a tear, I had to be the rock for the families. When my mom's mom died two years ago, again no tears.

But last night as I watched RAW, Edge (Adam Copeland)came out and revealed he had to retire and as he talked about watching wrestling as a kid (we're about the same age) and recounted the matches, for some reason the tears started flowing. For some reason as he mentioned a certain wrestler, I remembered times I had been watching it with my grandma or grandpa over and started missing them badly. I guess it's just that I finally got to mourn them instead of being the one to have to be strong and take care of business.

I'll keep this pretty simple. In short, I have been a military historian (of sorts) for a long time now. I study military tech, tactics, etc etc etc until I'm blue in the face. Then I thought about what it might feel like if I were to actually go to a national cemetery, like the Normandy American Cemetary, and just looking out at the field of white crosses in front of me. And it made me cry. How many of you have ever had something like that happen to you, and what was it?

Edit: Leave politics out of it. I'm not pro or anti war for the sake of this discussion.
Yes... I have a soft spot for lonely, elderly people and animals. Not so much children or adult humans; though I hate to see suffering of any kind.

I think crying is sometimes just a sign of our humanity. I don't cry often, but I'd hate to consider myself a man who *couldn't* cry.

When I heard about how they'd managed to save all those miners you heard si much about some time ago, I didn't think I'd cry since I don't care about that kind of stuff all that much. But then I remembered that quote from a Dr. Who episode: "Everybody lives, Rose! Just this once, everybody lives!" and the tears came.

...Wall-E. I admit, I shed a tear at the end, when I thought that Wall-E was dead, and replaced by an emotionless robot.

This morning in fact, i was having a really vivid dream. In it i had a dog and he was my best friend but we were getting chased by some people for what reason i don't know but they were shooting at us and just as we were about to get to safety the dog got shot. I picked him up and carried him. Then for some reason we were in the middle of this big empty warehouse and I tried to save him but it was no good and he died in my arms. I was in floods of tears weeping, when i woke up i was actually crying a little and oh my god the feeling of loss was immense.
Which is funny because i don't have a dog, nor have i ever had one (i do want one though). The whole thing was very odd.
