I was at the mall one day. I noticed that 12-year-olds are holding hands and I've never had a girlfriend.

So I'm sitting here, drinking a whiskey and reading the Escapist when I realise: I'm not acting like a 16 year old!
I do that on a daily basis.

Went to the pub on Friday. That's not a 16 year old thing to do!

But Guinness said otherwise...
Oh yeah, that guy always ropes me into things like that.

The first time I ever played Red Orchestra: Ostfront, I said, roughly: "Oh my god! A Vickers! Just like in D-Day: Normandy!"

And then I realized that I was making comparisons to Quake 2 mods.

I catch myself being annoyed at the sheer fail of some new things, I ave "good ol days" moments at 18.

Also I joined the military, which pretty much ball-kicked me into adulthood lol.

I went to New York City and Washington DC by myself when I was 14? AND I live in England.

Granted, I was with school on a trip, but I felt bigger, older and so much better than my parents who haven't even stepped FOOT in the US of A.

I'm 16 (17 in January, woo...) and last night, I washed up the dishes whilst listening to Mozart's Requiem

I like White Whine, Cider, Wooly Jumpers, the British Empire, Grumbling and Nostalgia
I often recount my heady days of "summer 09" when I travelled to deepest, darkest Peru
I like slippers
I like Jazz and Big Band (Glen Miller)
I like politics, philosophy, literature and history
I would have been happy if I was born in anywhere from 1890-1980 (I just HAD to be born in the 90s, huh? the "Crappy Sequel" to the 20th century)

Everything and Anything about me suggests I was born 40 years old

I have been likened to old men, ex-colonials, James May and, once, Winston Churchill

I constantly make references to old games and shows that no one gets.

Though that less makes me feel old, and more makes me feel like kids are stupid.
I concur. I do this all of the time (though I'm not so old, I just have old family members with old stuff.)

I spend most of my free time these days sewing and drinking copious amounts of tea. I like cardigans more than I should. I am rather fond of cats.

I am not an old lady. I am 24.

I was relaxing at the dinner table drinking a glass of wine, grown-ups on one side, teenagers on the other when I suddenly thought: wow, I remember sitting on the other side looking at someone else drinking wine. How did I ever make it to the other side of the table?

while sitting in my high school i think about how today's kids have no respect for authority figures and are a bunch of spoiled brats and need to brought down a peg or 2 like in the good old days when children could actually be punished by more than "taking away the xbox for a night".

P.S. im 15

I am 48. Every thing I do makes me feel older now.
You're 48, and on a gaming forum?

That's something you don't see every day.
I know there is a 70yr old on here somewhere (unless he has left now), I can't remember who it was but me and my lad were laughing about it because yes it is unusual but not uncommon.

OT: I was classed as adult minded when i was 13 since i am a carer for my mentally ill, alcoholic mother. Not only do i have to keep an eye on her i have to get through college and try getting a job, plus keep my fiance and friends on balance.
Also, i am a psychologist in practise. I love people coming to me with their problems so i can try helping them, obviously if i can't then i will say so. Both these things makes me feel mature and older but not in a bad way. I feel more respected by other adults and now, at 18, I find im even more respected by the younger ones also when they realise im a kid at heart but im an adult when they need me to be.
