I went to New York for the first time at the start of the month and I suddenly felt older when I was riding the subway (whilst using the Subway app on my iPhone) and getting taxis by myself to meet my friends in completely obscure places. It was crazy, and I've never done anything like that before. I felt proud of myself :)

Soon as your over 18 it all goes down hill =[
EDIT: Just a reminder to anyone who turned 19 this year.. YOURE 20 NEXT YEAR. 1990 WAS 20 GODDAM YEARS AGO.

If you feel old now, youre welcome!
I was feeling alright until I read this post...
Wow, nearly 20 - saying (alright typing) that has just made me feel old.

Anyway, I write, drink tea more than I do alcohol and don't really do the clubbing thing. All of those things point to someone who's older than 19...

Me and some friends had a poker night a couple weeks ago, and we decided we'd go out and get all kinds of fucked up and stay at someone's empty loft. Instead, we sat in our house and discussed politics, philosophy, religion, the future, biology, and history until roughly 5 in the morning.
It was interesting.

My mum said that I was born a 40 year old. That would make me 56. All the little things make me feel older. Playing more physical games with my friends for example. I have always been lazy but whenever I get asked to do anything that involves a work out I think to myself. 'f**k that'

Also an example that my dad had to highlight earlyer today. Me and my friend were talking in the car and somehow a conversation was started about old TV programes. I talked about "Wacky Racers" and I could remember some of the names of the characters. When my dad said that he used to watch that when he was a kid and he is 45 that makes me feel deceased.

I saw a Facebook group entitled "When I Was Your Age Tony Blair Was Prime Minister!"

My first thought was "when I was your age John Major was Prime Minister!"

That made me feel really old.

Hehe I must say, it's kinda bad, but saying shit about world of warcraft classic (or vanilla) makes me feel older than the people who didnt know about AQ40!!! Or about running 2 minutes back to the boss. Or leveling up as the healer spec because it was the best spec.

Though I have heard from my parents on multiple occasions at formal gatherings that people have said "What is he doing now?" "What?" "After high school, what is he doing now?"
:)

Oooh ooh, I wear a suit jacket to school now and the school golfshirt and once a teacher didnt see the shirt and asked me to watch his class for him :p
(Im 16 with shaggy hair)

A couple months ago, I was sitting in a park by the river Thames where I was reading some poetry. I didn't just feel older, I did wonder if I had accidently traveled back 100 years...
or suddenly became Joseph Conrad's Marlow?
(that kind of makes me feel old)

but my girlfriends younger brother and friends were playing old games and talking about how crappy they look (think it was Super Star Wars) and I just felt.... ouch, I played that game when it was new when I was a kid.
its kind of sad that I can feel old at 22. Though things are advancing quickly

I was waiting to play an arcade game once and these kids said "Let the man have a go." The man!

Do they still have arcade games these days?

I'm constantly reading the latest political news (not all that celebrity crap) and complaining about the local kids.

I drink tea, my preferred choice of alcohol is Guinness, read plenty of very good books/plays, have seen films or television programmes most people my age would never have even heard of. I mention Dr. Strangelove, everyone looks at me funny. :(
A couple of those apply to me as well. I always order a pint of Guinness when I'm out while my friends are ordering cider or the occassional Stella/Kronenberg. I have also seen TV shows and films that my friends haven't heard of, like On The Buses for example (which isn't very funny, considering its meant to be a comedy).

Also when I try to be funny by slipping in an obscure reference, or relying on wit/wordplay, people give me that really awkward bemused look like they are saying 'What the hell are you on about?'

I'm 21 never did the whole clubbing getting wrecked 24/7 thing. Me and my bloke both prefer to stay in get our daughter in bed and curl up with a takeaway and a film in our dressing gowns and slippers ^^

EDIT: I'm watching Dave and just saw the Christmas Toys R US advert which always made me feel like Christmas was here as a kid. Now they're announcing they're celebrating their 25th Christmas and this kinda adds to the feeling old :p
Eurgh, clubbing...now there's one thing I'd only do if I was already wrecked >_>
Yeah it just never really appealed to me, everyone else my age (and younger) seemed to be going out under 18 and trying to get in places underage *shrugs* it's not clever and cool... who cares?
Preaching to the choir m'lady :p I've never had an interest in all that really. Problem is, it can make you look very boring in some situations.

Being around the idiotic people that are my year group makes me feel like a kindergarten teacher. Honestly some of them are just stupid.
