"La crise du Verglas de 1998", where basically the entirety of Montreal was covered in ice. The world stopped being for about 10 days. We only had enough food for two.

Me too! The World Series saved a LOT of lives since so many people who would have been on the Cypress freeway when it collapsed had left early to catch the game.

Tell me about it! My dad left work early, so instead of being on the Cypress, he was at home in front of the TV with the rest of us ready to watch the World Series. He could have easily been crushed.

It was a real trip that earthquake. I mean...it didn't feel the normal earthquakes (shaking)...it rolled...as if the earth were the ocean. And it seemed to go on for so long! I was in Oakland, where were you?

Yeah I used to live in Mexicali (you know the city that also had an earthquake around the same time as Chile and Haiti but nobody cared about) and although I was not there when it happened I was there when the tremor(or whatever it is you call the small earthquakes) season started and everyone was getting ready for "The BIG one" it was freaking chaos although it was unfounded chaos since that year nothing happened it was until 2010 when we finally got "The BIG one" but as I said nobody not even in our country (Mexico in case you don't know) cared that there was an earthquake only the people form California(USA's California since the city is the capital of Baja California which is in Mexico) actually helped so fuck our government they did not do shit!

Yes, I have, though I wasn't personally affected by any of them.

First of all, let me remind you that I live in Pittsburgh, which is rather well-known for its shitty weather. To whit, I will not consider merely lots of rain or a blizzard to be a disaster. No mere storm has ever been too dire for a Pittsburgher unless it drastically affects the whole city on some sort of crippling level. That said, there have been two types that DO merit the mention.

Floods - Three rivers plus shitty weather in enough quantity can (and has) on occasion caused those rivers to swell and flood, causing all manner of chaos down in that area. The record height for flooding is marked clearly on some buildings downtown, measuring taller than most humans. However, it has never reached that level in my lifetime. THAT flood was in the time of my grandfather. And me? I live in the hills, yo. No way was I getting affected.

Tornadoes - The only other real disaster ever to hit this city is actually the most perplexing one. The Pittsburgh area is known for having a good amount of high hills, owing much to being that close to more mountainous areas (namely, the Appalachian Mountains). So, how is it that we've actually had tornadoes, however weak they are? Nevertheless, there have been a couple of occasions and the worst I ever suffered was a power-outage, for a while. (Other people had it worse, unfortunately.)
