No. I've fallen in love with characters, but not the game itself.

Those are strictly platonic friendships.

Can't say I've fallen for a game, but definitely characters.

Can't ever bring myself to be in love with a game.

Not exactly love, but there have been games where I've held off on finishing them because I've enjoyed the experience so much that I don't want it to end. Okami and Aquaria come to mind specifically.

Love is not the right word.

Like, at all.

I like to play certain games 'very much', and within those games I may love the characters within the game, but I just don't fall in love with 1s and 0s every day.

If you mean in the same sense as falling in love with a woman (or man or whatever), than no, that'd be really really weird.

I've been in a long term relationship for 19 happy years now. Oh sure it's not always sunshine and Rose. Our love began as it does for many. Rocky, never sure if I could really grasp this fickle one, or sure if I could afford to keep trying, then as is wont to happen in affairs of the heart just as it was getting darkest for us, light dawned and I felt the growth that can only come from a true interest in not just the core but the whole being of your partner. We seemed to just click from then on, but while I have always been content with life, this was not to be for my beloved. Theirs was a path of growth and change, it was constant, as it turned out my path was changing and growing as well, they kept coming and going, then there was the bitter outburst. They accused me of spending too much time in my books and I venomously pointed out how with all the growth (and even a brief interest in puzzles) they had still not learned to count. That was it. I had gone too far. They ran off with some 3-D fad on impulse. It did not go well. They returned to me again and were kind enough to pretend not to notice that I still did not know their innermost secrets. I was wise enough to not make the crack "Well with EX in the name what the hell did you exPECT??" In return I spent more time with my love, they returned this gesture by finally becoming numerically correct. They even made an effort to share my interest in modern mythology, so I joined in their effort to mend fences with age old rivals. We've been together ever since, we've grown older, better and most recently have found the fundamental wisdom of returning to what makes us happiest yet not turning our back on the future. I've become more interested in Science while they seem to be enamored of technology these days but we'll always be together through the good and the fad. May all be as blessed as we two.

Translation: I REALLY like Street Fighter....

I know I'd never sell my copy of MGS3 for any amount of money.

If that's not love... what is?
YOU CAN'T HAVE HER SHE'S MINE.

Actually, I have two copies, so even if one ever went missing, I could still relive that story again and again and again and...

Yeah. If I've ever fallen in love with a game, it was MGS3.
