Have you ever felt a deep, personal hatred towards an NPC?

I personally hate the Illusive Man from Mass Effect 2. I love his character and Martin Sheen does a stellar voice for him, but honestly I knew he was going to be a selfish bastard in the end. That, and he fucked with the Quarians, and anybody who fucks with them is getting their face filled with machine gun rounds by me.

Frankly, I stopped trusting him the second he revealed he orchestrated Horizon and put Ashley in danger and in turn that it was he who sent reports to the Alliance about my involvement with Cerberus and in turn made me out to look like a villian. Causing a painful damaging blow to Shepard's relationship in the process.

At the risk of sounding like a creepy game nerd with an unhealthy crush on a fictional character... NO ONE EVER COMES BETWEEN ME AND ASHLEY!!!

Anywho, I wouldn't say I hated him but I sure as hell didn't trust him or like him very much either.

How on Earth should that be a problem? Ashley believes in god, so what? She's hardly a Bible bashing religious zealot here, she at one point in the game, once, I repeat once in the entire course of the game mentions that she believes in God. She says it helps her to cope with death and loss and gives her a purpose.

She doesn't rub your nose in it, she doesn't declare her faith the only truth in the universe... she just admits to believing in god. Why on Earth should this be a problem or any source of offense? Seriously?

If she were a crazy fanatic that would be one thing but her merely saying that she believes in God really shouldn't be a problem, in fact it's actually quite bigoted to express anger and hatred on a 'deep, personal' level just because a character happens to be religious.

If you ask me, that tells far more worse things about you* then it does about her, because it demonstrates a level of blind unreasoning hatred and discrimination on your part, made even worse by the fact that you also condemn her for being judgmental.

Seriously, I'm an atheist myself but I don't go around hating on and booing and scorning people for having religious faith, they have the right to believe what they want. I might not share their beliefs, but I won't hate them for it either.

I have a deep personal hatred for the Luxon Warriors and the Siege Turtle they escort in Guild Wars in Fort Aspenwood pvp mission. Basically the Luxon team has to attack the Kurzick base and kill the boss NPC inside and they get 2 siege turtles to help them break through the gates.

The siege turtle itself every 10 seconds or so will randomly target ANYONE (not just the gate npc's) and will hit for up to 300 damage where it hits which is a hell of alot for the average character and it has a massive hit radius so you can be a decent way away from the impact but still take alot of damage. Taking them out isn't too difficult from range... that is if the other team doesn't have a competent healer as the Siege turtles have ALOT of armor and don't take much damage at all, not to mention the fact it also has a skill that teleports everyone thats meleeing it a few yards away and deals 100 damage and will spam it at times.

The Luxon Warriors though make it so much worse. When not attacking anything the four of them stick pretty much on top of the turtle, but when something attacks the turtle or comes into range of them all four of them will chase after you and will do so for a pretty long time and if they already have adrenaline then your pretty much dead as they have the coward elite which knocks you down from range and they will co-ordinate it to knock you down consecuitvely they also all wield hammers and have an attack speed increase which will kill anything that isn't a warrior pretty quickly, oh and they can also heal themselves something none of the Kurzick defending NPC's can do.

OT: Noober/Neeber from the BG games, Arl Rendon Howe, Zathrian, Loghain, ARNORA. I also hated that you had to have Dynaheir to get minsc in BG1, I'd much rather have Edwin. The council from the Mass Effect games annoys the crap outta me, same goes for harbinger. Samara and Jack also get on my nerves after a while. The beggars in Assassin's Creed made me want to carve out their spines with a dull spoon, and I liked very few of the NPCs in Bioshock. The 'last boss' in both Dead or Alive 3 and 4. Azazael in Tekken 6.

He wins because I can't kill him. Other NPCs who have pissed me off to that level, I usually got to kill at some point, or at least fuck with, or I could let them die, but him? No. Because he's a damn kid.

I didn't like Ashley but the fact that she has a good set of lungs on her means she's not too bad
