My grandmother made me watch Bold and the Beautiful as a kid... I did enjoy the industrial espionage stuff and Sally Spectra and Stephanie Forrester being cool old ladies. Didn't much care about romance stuff.

Stephanie losing her memory and Sally finding her going through her trash was fun... TBH my good memories of the show are mostly Sally and Stephanie stuff.

The only other Soap i watched was " Passions" back when i was younger. But that soap had demons and angels and magic, it was pure nonsense.
Hah yes I watched it too. It was on in the afternoon when I got home from school.

When I was too young to be left alone after school my grandparents would look after me till my folks returned from work and my grandmother loved those so I watched a few years worth while having meals with her, it was her thing and I kinda just enjoyed being with her. Despite being in Greece at the time, it was south american soap operas and not Greek ones, I don't think they even had Greek ones lol.

It was back in mid-late 90s. I remember a few parts, one was called Maria and it was Mexican I think, there was this poor girl who lived in the slums but then a rich old dude who I think was her father but she was a secret illegitimate kid of his and to atone for abandoning her he hired her as a maid and she hooked up with his son in the end and his very evil rich girlfriend got shafted. I think she died at some point, Soraya or something was the name, the crazy evil rich stereotype lol. The other one I remember was called Paulina but I sadly don't remember the plot much, that one I think was from Argentina.

Man, I came in here to be all clever and point out that I watch pro wrestling which I call a soap opera for dudes, and I've been ninja'd many times over. Which is apropos, perhaps.

But yeah, WWE is basically a soap for big manly guys in sweaty Speedos, and I love it. It's so goofy on a basic level, and yet so easy to be completely engrossed in. I'm legitimately invested in Randy Orton's storyline with the Wyatts, and AJ Styles' awesomeness, and Becky Lynch getting burned and coming up short yet again.

Well, Passions, a bit. Which was annoying as it took effing weeks for people to stop talking about what they were about to do and start doing it, and weird in that it had random supernatural elements for some of the plot lines, but others were just more of the same soapy waffle.
