Have you ever given up on a game for any reason and just watched the rest of it on youtube.

I've actually never quit a game just to watch the rest of it on Youtube. If I have the time to watch, I might as well be playing. Except for the final boss of FFXIII.

Because fuck that guy.

Dunno, could be those impossibly hard bosses in FF games that only FF nerds in Japan can complete or it just get boring, or you messed up a save and cba arsed to start all over again etc. Either way, you though f*** this, I've completed this game, I don't care if I haven't gotten to the end, I'll watch the rest on youtube.

Like I said, FF7, 8, 9, and 13 did this to me, the only two FF games I've completed 100% and not 99% were 11 and 10. I also gave up on other games for being too long, too boring, too complexed and others because I buggered up files.
You fully completed 11? Can that even be done with an MMO? :O
Lol, oops, I meant 12, I didn't even touch 11, lol

I've given up on games, but most of the time, I didn't really care what happened in those games. If the storyline has my attention, then I'll grind through it like the first two Evil Dead games, those were just absolute agony to get through, but so worth it.
Ones that I don't finish, I usually don't care enough about, so I don't really bother with watching the ending on Youtube, but I guess if I wanted to see how FFX, or Dead Space ends, that's what I'd do.

the only game ive ever done that to is Final Fantasy XIII. it wasnt cause i got bored of the game i actually kinda liked the story its was just that the combat system was so incredibly bad and luck based that i swear anyone who says it seemed like Square just wanted people to watch the game instead of playing it are probably spot on

Nah, if I give up on a game, then it's because I don't feel it's really worth it. I haven't encountered any game with a storyline that would make me wanna watch it even though I'm unwilling to play it.

Hmmm... I think I have way too many to list so here's a few with reasons:
Skies of Arcadia Legends - Got stuck so close to the final area and never bothered to go back
Fire Emblem Sacred Stones - Pretty close to the end but said "fuck it" and used my Action Replay
CoD BlOps - Some ass gave away the plot twist at the end and I lost all motivation to play the campaign
FFXIII - It sucked -_-
Paper Mario TTYD - I was waaay to low-leveled to beat that damned Shadow Queen
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance - The disc mysteriously got extremely scratched. I never bothered to get a new one...
The World Ends with You - I got to the LAST PART but my game card froze mid-save and deleted my game (soooo pissed)
Pokemon Heart Gold - Got to the Elite 4 champion but my team just wasn't good enough but they were still too high leveled to train on wild pokemon

There are many games I've given up one, but only 1 I can think of were I actually went and looked up the ending on YouTube and that's Sonic Heroes. I got fed up with trying to collect all those damn chaos emeralds. Shame too, I would've liked to have tried my hand at that final boss.

I didn't last two hours in BioShock (too scary for me), but I watched the big story parts when one of my roommates played it. Still kinda freaked me out. I hate the feeling that someone is just around the corner.

Sonic 2006. I gave up on the fourth level, I think, and completely forgot about it. Then recently I saw there was a Let's Play of it, so I watched that instead.

Ravenholm was too much for me back in the day. I've maned up when I bought the Orange Box again for the PC.

SMT: Nocturne - first JRPG game dealing with the "Press Turn" battle system. Being previously a dedicated FF7/8/10 fankid until then (Nocturne came out in 2004 IIRC), this game mopped the floor with me from start to (almost) finish. That and the convoluted NPC ally recruitment methodology gave me a headache, BIG TIME.
