Someone once put me in a cupboard and left me there when I was young...

Now I live with THIS family! And I'm very happy!

Joking, it was a kid from a few years up.

Me and my friend were trying to get a football out of my shed and the door slammed in the wind causing the little catch to spin and lock us in.... oh god the spiders..

On a lighter note my boyfriends brother was telling me about when they were younger (5 and 7) and shared a room their door had no handle or lock, due to their dads incompetance, and they were playing one day and knocked the door closed. They tried to drill their way out with a plastic play drill, then just cried. Very cute story.

In Spain or Portugal I forget which I got locked out side the appartment on the balcony because the stupid sliding door is designed so that it always locks itself when it closes me not knowing that I went out on to the balcony and well I got locked out.

I once got trapped in a friends bathroom. I closed the door behind me then once I was done I tried to open it again but nothing happened, the handle was turning but the door was staying firmly shut. Luckily after about 20 minutes my friend came to see what was taking so long and I was freed.

If it was here, I'd like to apologize in name of everyone in Portugal and reassure that not all sliding doors here lock when they close; feel free to visit us again.

I got myself locked out of my house once, had to sit outside for two hours after trying so many different antics to get inside. And yes, I left my cellphone inside as well... So I had to wait for my parents to return before I could be let back inside.

One such antic was when the phone was ringing inside and when the answering machine picked up I could hear it was my mom asking if I was there, I then saw my cat staring at me through the window on the front door and I begged her to get the phone - I was very desperate - and she went up the stairs. Finally! She was going to get the phone! No, wait... She's heading into my bedroom... God darn you cat! Eventually my mom assumed I was sleeping and hung up.

Ah it's fine and I'll probably come back eventually as my family likes Portugal and Spain as holiday spots I think there was something wrong with the lock on the door and I got out quick enough which is what is important.

Our front door once blocked on us and the key wouldn't work. The lock wasn't in its proper place. But there was a window open on the second floor, so I climbed the damn house to get inside through the window and open the door from inside.

In the bathroom. Its a a ball joint type door, and i pushed the door pas the joint, which got it stuck. I managed to do a Gordon Freeman on it.

When I was five a plastic bag jammed the doorway and me and my little brother cried for half an hour before we were rescued by our mom.

Got another one. My front door has two locks, but one of them isn't working. Not knowing this, I turned both locks (not long before we were going out, I might add) and my parents took a while to open it.

Wow... creating this thread has brought back so many memories. It seems that my whole life is made of moments when I get locked somewhere.

Now excuse me, I need a psychiatrist before I get claustrophobia.
