Have You Ever Had A Nightmare About A Game?

I had a very unsettling dream the other night, I think it's down to playing Silent Hill 2 for the first time. I was in a deserted place where the sky was choked with ashes and I couldn't find my three year old son. I use a radio at work at and had mine with me in this dream, I could hear my son crying out for me on the radio but the signal was all distorted and broken. I was desperate, asking him where he was but I couldn't tell if he could hear my radio messages. Even stranger was that I could hear that my son was with his little brother (who's not due to be born until March). I was blindly searching, calling out for my boys and got so frantic that I woke up with my heart thumping.

Think reading about 'The Road' movie on AV club probably had something to do with it too.

Finished Silent Hill 2 yesterday, got the 'In Water' ending, awesome game.

I had a nightmare where I was forced to play the entire Warcraft 3 campaign, the night after I finished the campaign... IT WAS HORRIBLE! reliving what I had done just a few hours ago! D:

I wouldn't term it nightmares... but when I play games alot I continue to play them in my head, though I realize i'm not playing the game so I wake up, and then as soon as I sleep I go back to playing it in my head... (rinse and repeat) basically it leads to one hell of a sleepless night.

Half Life 2 (The Ravenholm Section)
Left 4 Dead
Borderlands

Probably a few more though these one the first ones off the top of my head.

man, i had a nightmare when i first played watched doom. I am talking doom 1, not doom 3.

i kept walking around the doom enviroment when my vision flashed red. i turn around and see one of the big red alien things behind me making body guestures (their way of attacking). it feels so long ago, but i do miss the days of time crisis 1, and anything else that doesnt have a number on the end of it...

Played Aliens vs Predator 2 multiplayer for so long when i went to sleep got chased by aliens without the comforting machine gun/rocket launcher help

When i first played Silent Hill 2 i had a dream i was in the hotel and James was asking me why i was their but i had no idea how.

Once got chased down the road by the boulder from the original Crash Bandicoot. Scared me shitless back then but I can't help but laugh now.

While reading through the Resident Evil books I had numerous nightmares about RE. Most recently I have been dreaming about MW2. Those have been good dreams though.

I still remember this nightmare I had about Resident Evil 4. I was myself, walking in a cross between the village(the farthest I had ever gotten was the big fight that ends with the title of the game appearing) and a park I knew, and something is trying to turn me into a zombie by making me do labyrinths in my head. If I got out, the attempt failed, except that they were getting harder.

It sounds silly once you remember it, but when you're actually having the nightmare and you wake up in the dark and silence, it's pretty terrifying.

I had a really weird fever induced nightmare after playing super smash on the gamecube with a 40°C fever

I was chased in a maze to the kirby soundtrack, it wasn't very scary when I thought back on it but while happening it was freaky

Mix between Resident Evil 2 and the "Hush" silent episode of Buffy. Floating doctors and hands smashing through boarded up windows...definitely freaky.
