I've had it twice but both when I was wee. I really only remember the second time round and it was not too pleasant.

But my mum, and two younger sisters have a chicken pox scar above their right eyebrows in almost the same place. Which is almost (but not quite) interesting.

Yeah, once, don't remember how old I was though. Around when I was 5, maybe. I also remember getting a vaccine for it. Maybe it was to ensure you only got chickenpox once. Or maybe it was a vaccination for something else altogether. All I really remember with any clarity is the jellybean I got afterwards. It was orange.

The chickenpox themselves were itchy as hell and I think I spent a lot of time with my hands tied together with a scarf so I wouldn't scratch so much. Kind of kinky, now that I think of it.

No not yet, I've made it to age 16 without contracting chicken pox and I hope for many more chicken poxless years, its not all good though apparently not getting chicken pox at an early age means you may get shingles later. I hope it doesn't happen though.

EDIT: Nope I'm safe from shingles for now, that only comes later if you've had chicken pox I just checked the Wikipedia article. I think I've been immunized too.

I got the Pox at the end of Grade 4; I was 8 years old. My brother gave it to me and I got it during the last (and best) week of school. I missed the class-wide pool party held at my classmate's house, which pisses me off to this day (note: I am 22).
