Don't know why I'm asking, but have you ever headbutted someone or something?? Given that I've never actually punched something (Don'y know how) I'd probably headbutt someone in a fight, if I ever get in one. Seems like the last thing they'd expect, lol

No I haven't headbutted anything, unless you count football, but that's unintentional[footnote]Also, I tried to do a Timestamp embed for the video, but it didn't work so you could just skip to 34 seconds if you wanted to limit exposure to Jersey Shore[/footnote]

Well...I've headbutted soccer balls and it hurts.

I imagine headbutting a person would hurt like hell...

Aside from soccer balls and Gatatog Uvenk, no.

Does the wall count? I've also headbutted doors and doorframes (the upper part). Looking back at it now I have to say: what the fuck was I doing?

I've never headbutted anyone, but wouldn't you be more likely to hurt yourself if you didn't know how to do a proper headbutt than if you didn't know how to throw a punch? I mean, worst case scenario with an improperly thrown punch, you break a finger (which can also happen if you do it right, but that's another story.) Worst case scenario with a messed up headbutt, you kill or permanently paralyze yourself, without the other guy getting a chance to do it for you.

Actually, you can break your whole arm.
A guy I know got drunk once and fought someone in a club and he had to keep his arm, from his hand to his elbow, in a cast for 3 months, just because of hitting a guy in the face.

It's still not as bad as death or paralysis. Although it does show why a properly done headbutt generally doesn't do that; the forehead is a pretty solid piece of bone.

Edit: Also, ouch. That had to suck.

I've headbutted my brothers, maybe some fellow classmates in fights, and probably my mother when she lost her shit and decided to one morning grab my foot and hurl my ass out of bed.

Yep, mostly people in fights since headbutting gives the message that you don't actually care about hurting yourself, but other than that, well I once rammed my head directly into a wall, I hit my head so hard that I passed out for 5 minutes, when I woke up I said "Don't worry I'm all right, it doesn't even hurt" of course it did actually hurt and I was a little too hazy to get up, I believe I was trying to ram a person, but I'm not that sure.

I have. He never bullied my little sister again, to say the least.

In fact, I don't think his nose has fully recovered yet.

I have headbutted someone.... backwards!
I was at a gig, and this wanker started on me from behind (to this day I have no idea why), so I knocked my head back as hard as I could and cracked his nose. I wouldn't recommend it as an actual aggressive move though - the guy wasn't hurt that badly, he only ran off out of shock and to get some tissues I think!

So yeah, as other people have posted, it can work as a way of unnerving someone, but you run the risk of hurting yourself nearly as much as the other guy, and they might also be able to get you in a headlock or something, so if you're thinking about it....

Yeah, suprisingly often. I find it amusing and if you don't do it too hard it's not really a problem. Never in an actual fight though. I just headbut my friends occasionally when they're being really dumb.
I actually walked straight into a no standing zone sign once as well, loony toons style. It hurt at the time but its pretty funny looking back on it.

Tall person, so headbutted countless door jams and sloping walls (grew up in an attic conversion).
The closest I've come to headbutting a person is too people bending down to get something, and hitting each other in the skull. Hurts like hell, wouldn't try it in a fight!
