The ending to 2001: A Space Oddysee. Well, that might not be so bad baked.....

I saw it sober, and I dug it. I think this is the one for you, though. The first "act" with the apes and the monolith you can skip, but everything after that is just what you're looking for.

Boring movie? I'm gonna have to say the Peter Jackson directed King Kong. I hated the shit out of it. Literally fell asleep during it, woke up and that shit was still on!! I felt mad at Blockbuster for allowing me to rent it.

I can't remember if I've watched a boring movie that dragged on. But I have tried watching movies that I don't want to watch in the first place, I fall asleep not even halfway through them.
