Have you ever left a movie theater midway through the movie?

Never left before the movie ended out of pure avarice.

However we should find a way to protest against shitty movies we were suckered into watching by appealing trailers - Franklyn is such a movie.

Usually, I'll sit and bear it.

But once, I was not in a very good mood and so I went to see "American Gangster" because I really enjoy gangster movies. But I got sick of watching the white cop (or whatever he was) just kind of screw around and so I got frustrated and left. I think I went and sat in on another movie.

Yeah--I might get up and leave, but I'll go to another theater and see a different film.

<spoiler=The second time: The Thing> Was being reshown at my local cinema, having never seen it before I decided to go.
Then came the bit with the dogs, oh dear god the bit with the dogs. Up until that point the film was brilliant, I'm sure the rest is brilliant too, but there are some things that cannot be unseen.
THE THING?! GET BACK IN THERE! NOW!
<spoiler=I read the book (called Who Goes There?) ages ago. I know that in the end> Everyone dies, the survivors decide to kill themselves as they burn their camp down because none of them has a reliable method to tell if the other has been infested. I also know that it doesn't exactly go uphill after the dogs.

I usually go to movies with friends, so I never left early unless we all do... Of course, they think the same way, so neither of us ever leave a theater early no matter how bad the movie is...

Only once: I walked out of the theater in the middle of The Ringer. When it got to the part where Johnny Knoxville's character was being set up on a blind date with a mentally handicapped girl I just couldn't take it anymore.

I would have when I saw Oceans 12, but I was with a friend and his family.

To my memory, I have walked out of a movie once and it wasn't even my choice. My mom, sister, and I had gone to see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. We got up to the part where the chainsaw-guy hung that one guy on the really big hook and that was enough for my mom and sister. They both made me leave with them even though I was enjoying the movie. According to my sister, she had been sick earlier that day. I didn't forgive them for a while.

I had almost wanted to walk out when me and my ex-fiance went to see Eragon. 10 minutes into the movie my ex-fiance and I were screaming at the screen (thank God we were the only ones in there). We didn't leave though because we both loved the book so much we wanted to see if it was going to get any better. Nope... Makes me sad.

I went to see The Dark Knight a second time at the IMAX and left a few minutes early just because there wasn't anything interesting after that point.

That's like saying you don't have to watch the dark knight because you read a batman comic from the 50s.

You don't know the ending (but sure isn't any anti-gravity fake science bs). Just give it another try :p

Never have, but I've wanted to at certain points.

I desperately wanted to walk out of Oceans 12, but I was trapped in the middle of the theatre, so I had to sit through the rest of the movie continuing to not know what the hell was going on.

I also kinda wanted to walk out of The Dark Knight, but that was more because it was too long and I had to work early the next day. Yeah, I know, I should have planned that better.

Dance Flick, I left about 30 minutes in.

I left half way through Quarantine because I couldn't stomach the dog scenes, and I was starved...
