Have you ever liked a game everyone else hated (or just said it sucked)?

I liked CoD:MW2, as far as SP and Spec-Ops went. Unique, groundbreaking and innovative? Not really. But it was still fun enough to casually shoot through.
i dont think you understood the thread... modern warfare 2 was and still is one of the most popular games around.... several thousands of players play it every day... well not as much as before since MW2 has gotten infested with mods and hacks

Well pretty much every final fantasy game is bashed on alot, but I've enjoyed every final fantasy I've played. You could probably say World of Warcraft as well seeing as everyone who doesn't play it seems to hate it.

Honestly? I liked Dragon Age 2.

Were there some problems with it? Yes. Was it as good as Origins? No

Did I still enjoy it? Yeah.
Basically what this guy said, I'm almost done with my 4th playthrough of the game

Well, I can't say games, as such, but I do like BOTH MW2 and BC2 (it must be a first).

And for some weird reason, in MW2, I like the F2000. It's just fun to use damn it, not exactly practical, I know, but still....

I liked Enter The Matrix enough to play it through twice... maybe six months apart. It wasn't really a "great" game, but there was fun to be had and I got it for cheap long after release.

My friends and I tend to have similar taste in games which makes swapping between eachother difficult sometimes as we have a lot of the same games! That does make system linking much easier though!

However, I have known a number of people who absolutely love the final fantasy games which I completely cannot stand. All that turn based nonsense does not interest me at all.

EDIT: I have not played much of dragon age 2 yet but so far am enjoying it. However, I was not a big fan of the small bit of dragon age 1 that I played. I guess it was the almost random seeming combat that bugged me, as it seemed that even when I was close enough to smell the darkspawn's BO my characters attacks regularly seemed to miss. Maybe I am being judgemental but who knows?

I still have the game so I think I will have another crack at it another time before trading it in.

To the guy who said about Bioshock 2, I personally didn't like it as much as the original because it didn't have the feel of playing a bio engineered superman as much as you would expect from playing a Big Daddy. I was constantly dying to the waves of splicers you fight as you make your way through. That being said maybe I was just wasn't playing the game properly so perhaps I should pick up a cheap copy pre owned and have another crack at it one day.

I also enjoyed brink but thought that the freedom of movement was over hyped and in some ways could have been executed better. I don't think the freedom was quite as extensive as the developers made it out to be pre-release.
