Ugh It was either dave mathews or the bald rockstar that won American idol(chris something) who went to my highschool years ago. I've never met him but according to a class mate we where going to try and get him to speak at the school and... he or his manager said he never came here. He's even in the yearbook lol. So I almost got to see this guy but not quite.

Let's see here. I'll be spouting some band names that are probably not popular around here, but eh. I work a concert venue as a sound tech and security, so I meet a lot of Christian bands. I've met Stellar Kart, Remedy Drive, Willet, Ashes Remain, Michael Fugitt (Not famous at all, but he's one of the greatest rappers to grace the planet), RED, and I know the sister of the lead guitarist from Alice Anna.

I've met a politician or two locally. Besides bands, I don't really get out much.

My dad had the state governor hold the door to the port-o-john for him. That was a fun story...

i met cradle of filth after a concert in el paso TX.. mostly cool guys but Dani(lead singer) was kind of a dick..

also met Marilyn Manson in a small guitar store in western NY, we had about a 20 minute conversation and he's an incredibly deep person, one of the best convos i've ever had

last one is that i met Otep for a few minutes after one of their concerts
that's awesome, what did you and Manson chat about? I don't listen to his music too often but his interviews are really interesting.

I met Gary Lineker at work when he came in and asked for directions. I have also met Prince Harry, although someone had to tell me who he was, which was kind of awkward since he was standing right there when they told me.

John Travolta was at my second-cousins wedding. The guy she married is loaded.

I met George Lucas when I was auditioning for the Phantom Menace, he said they like me but I was too old for the part.

Oh and I shook Bill Clinton's hand when he came to Thurston High School, I was even waring my black leather trench-coat.

I met Robert Rankin (Sci-Fi writer) and got him to sign a book.

I also know one of the guys from the ONV podcasts but he's only got a single stalker so he isn't really a proper celeb

Hmm... Well, I've met Povel Ramel (Swedish comic jazz musician); he later sent me a copy of one of his shows on VHS.

David Coulthard (F1 driver) comes from my village in Scotland, went to my old school; I think he lives in Monaco these days, so it's not like I see him in Tesco, but I met him once.

I've occasionally bumped into other celebs pretty randomly - met Peter Harrysson (Swedish TV presenter and actor) at Prestwick Airport once when he was testing Ryanair, had a fairly lengthy chat with him about how dismal it was. Probably a few more I can't remember offhand.

I suppose the most obvious one, though, is Terry Pratchett. But then, I've been to three Discworld Conventions, and there it's harder to find someone who *hasn't* met him. He wanders around chatting to people just like any other attendee, so chances are anyone in the hotel bar in the evening will find themselves talking to him.

Just out of curiousity. Which part did you read for?

OT: Not counting concerts or stand up shows. I've met Crispen Freedmen (Voice acter.) at a con and That woman on the today show was walking to her car while I was waiting in line for some food.

The only famous person I have met was Lionel Richie. I wound up sharing a table with him at a starbucks in LAX while waiting for a flight back to Texas. Pleasant enough fellow. Luckily that skank of a daughter wasn't with him.

I've asked Nick Clegg (current deputy prime minister of the UK and leader of the liberal democrat party) a question before when I attended at Q/A session at my old school, that's about it.

Anakin, it was the only role I was ever interested in. One of the talent agencies in town went to all the schools and made a big huff about coming in and auditioning for the role. I had long hair and grew up watching Star Wars. I was a year older than the requested age range but was "charismatic".

After that the agency called me and said "there was a part in The Last Postman with Kevin Costner if your interested" but I didn't care to go for it. Not the first time I've turned down an opportunity. One of my dad's friends is the brother of the drummer in Cherry Poppin Daddies, and when I was a kid he offered to teach me the drums because I was always drumming on my legs but again, the idiot kid didn't want to do it.

My parents should had forced me to do shit... I blame my lack of motivation on my parents always letting me get away with doing absolutely nothing.

Not a full celebrity, but almost one, BAFTA-nominated director Paul Andrew Williams (who directed The Cottage with Jennifer Ellison, along with a few other really good ones - the BAFTA nomination was for the gritty 'London To Brighton'). One of my flatmates is also on our university's film-making society committee with me, and her dad is a composer or something in the British film industry, so over summer last year she did a load of film-making work, internships and such, and one of the things she did was a comedy pilot for Channel 4, working with Paul Andrew Williams. Incidentally, she was also working with the likes of Mike Bailey (Sid on the original Skins) and Blake Harrison (Neil in The Inbetweeners) on that thing. Anyway, when we all came back to university and started as committee members, we decided to organise a talk with a director or someone to help promote the society, and my flatmate got in touch with Paul and asked him if he'd be interested in coming to Leeds to give a talk. He agreed, he came up, we screened London To Brighton and had a Q&A session with him, then the three of us who were on the committee, along with Paul, went out for a meal. A pretty nice guy on the whole, it was a good event and a really nice evening :D.

Who? No, seriously, who is that (too lazy to google search).

I met President Bill Clinton once, shook his hand. That was pretty cool. It was during his last few months as president. Met James Casorio Jr, and he was and still is awesome. Its a shame Voters went on a tirade to get rid of the Dems in the House, cause he did so much for Westmoreland county and PA.

Met Kobe Bryant once, though i wasnt exactly thrilled to. Met Mario Lemieux a few times, he's pretty cool... For a Canadian. XD Met Crosby, Jordan Staal, Brooks Orpik, a bunch of older Penguins players (Phil Bourque and them). I've also met some other players from other teams, Shea Weber, Teemu Selanne (I'm pretty sure thats how you spell it), Steven Stamkos.

Met most of the present day Pittsburgh Steelers at one point or another (One of my friends parents is high up with the sporting commission in PA, so I get alot of those VIP box seats tickets that let me go into the locker rooms).

Met Stephen King at a book signing twice, met his wife too.

Oh, and I've met Chuck Norris. He looks good for a guy in his 70s (well, back then he was in his mid sixties).

I once met this pretty much self published author last summer at a book signing named Rhett C. Bruno. I asked him a bunch of questions (or rather my shoes since he was so man pretty and I was really shy so I couldn't really bring myself to talk directly to him), and I got a picture with him.

He had a bunch of his college friends whith him, who were also man pretty.

And I haven't met him, but I have mannaged to have a few exchanges with Eric Ladin via Twitter. I got him to post some pictures of him doing mo cap work for InFamous 2 and I got a happy birthday wish from him as well. X3

Oh yeah, I've had similar experences with Christina Norman on Twitter. But instead of getting pictures and/or birthday wishes from her, I managed to find out when Commander Shepard's birthday is, and had a few funny pics/videos reTweeted by her.

I actually have met a bit of them, but at very far apart times due to the secluded nature of Kansas. These include J. K. Rowling, the entire band of both Kansas and Avenged Sevenfold, Eddie Vedder, the lead singer for Pearl Jam (while in San Fransisco), Jeff Dunham, and the cast of Mythbusters (also in San Fran; Adam was SO fucking hilarious).
