Have you ever met one of those kind of peoples that, for example, play Guitar Hero and think that they can be real guitarists just like that? This is not to insult those kind of people, I'm just curious if anyone's ever met that kind of person, and in that case, how'd he/she reply to the whole thing. I haven't yet, but If I did, I'd give them my guitar and I'd say: "Go ahead, play Cliffs of Dover since you know it so well."

YES. I used to work with someone like that.

He didnt think guitar could be much harder than GH.

He used to get annoyed when i compared GH to DDR.

This is why I hate guitar hero.

I think people should learn to play real instruments rather than that bullshit and act like its the greatest accomplishment of their lives.

I play Guitar Hero like that. I go into my own little world where I'm the most awesome guitarist ever. I know it's fake and I can't really play guitar but it's fun while it lasts.

Luckily, no. I have one or two friends that are actually the other way around (They play guitar reasonably well yet can't play Guitar Hero to save their lives).

Well, I knew a dude who played guitar who assumed he'd kick ass at Guitar Hero because of it.
He went straight into expert, bragging that he'd be much better than I was.
He failed. Miserably.
It was hilarious.

I started out playing Guitar Hero 2, and I got to being able to play on hard, then I started playing guitar. Now I can play One By Metallica on the Actual Guitar But not on Guitar Hero.

Well, they can't be "just like that", but they can. Two of my friends started playing the guitar because of the Guitar Hero series, and they can play them pretty good by now.

Well, they can't be "just like that", but they can. Two of my friends started playing the guitar because of the Guitar Hero series, and they can play them pretty good by now.

Yeah, that's true, Guitar Hero doesn't ruin the opportunity to play an actual instrument, but I was merely referring to those who think that it's the same thing. But kudos to them.

I suck at both but my friend plays both Guitar Hero and plays guitar. Everytime i see him i have to endure waves of sacrastic remarks and vague insults before i can start an actual conversation.

oh yea those guys, I meet them all the time. you can easily tell them by their body language, for instance the ones I commonly come into contact with serve me my burger and milkshake before I go to sit down and laugh about how depressing it must be to work in a fast food joint.

I'm okay at GH, but I only play it for fun, and because I want to hear the songs. I know it won't help me play a proper guitar, though it would probably help improve speed and coordination with your fingers.

i play guitar hero and rockband and i KNOW that im the farthest thing from a real guitarist. I have one friend tho who thought he would be good at guitar cuz of guitar hero, so he goes out and buys a guitar.....AND DOESNT PLAY IT. hes kinda retarded
