Yes. A new Slick Samurai thread has appeared. No. It will probably not be an incredibly intellectual conversation about human nature and whatnot.

Grab a seat, if you haven't already (that would be weird), grab a drink (I prefer Sprite), and recall if you've ever rooted for the mother of all bad guys.

Da Trolls.

From baby trolls to old trolls, it doesn't matter. Tell us about a time when you hoped the troll would hook line and sink the form/media/real people. It can be internet trolls, or news gremlins, or real life goblins.

This section is to clarify on what a troll is. A troll is a person that creates a false persona to deliberatly antagonize other people and/or draw attention to themselves.

EDIT: I may have posted in the wrong forum, as it probably should be off-topic. However, if you want, you can talk about gaming trolls.

Only the clever ones, I mostly just counter-troll the others which is fun as well.

Clever, witty, and all around intelligent trolls are always worth rooting for, even if you are against everything they stand for.

I occasionally go over to wow forums just to see the trolls they have over there. That place is like a train wreck, I just can't look away sometimes.

Forum-wise, I have. I mean, sometimes a troll can point out hypocrisy and irony and all that shiz. Mostly though, they are time wasters who think they are funnier than they actually are.

In game trolls? No... they just waste valuable game time. I have no interest in sharing my game time with idiots, especially as I don't seem to be getting any younger, despite my best efforts

Yeah I have, the troll in the girls bathroom in Harry Potter and Philosophers Stone. The reason I wanted him to win because Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson and Rupert Grant could not act at that age

For forums, I root for the intelligent ones, because seeing people spout their angry anti-troll responses while sounding like blithering idiots is pretty entertaining.

For games, all Warcraft trolls are awesome.

I only ever root for them for the sheer hilarity, or because their intended target is someone I also hate, or if I don't give a submarining fuck.

(By intended target whom I hate, I mean on facebook: if they were annoying the fuck out of someone who used to bully me *for example* I would get a giggle and a weird kick out of rooting for them, or by actually posting something in support.)

I mean, I trolled someone I hate. He was checking that he had added the correct Zoe and I said "Nope, sorry, I'm just a magical gaming dragon"

Intelligent/clever/witty forum trolls are always nice, but trolls in general are very amusing (in a good way) and I like to lurk whenever things go down.
I find it both amusing and sad how easily a friend of mine rises to the bait. He gets very defensive/pissy very quickly and though he thinks he 'wins' against the trolls, he never has. As un-friend-like as it may seem, I congratulate the trolls in this case.

Cannibal trolls, i.e. trolls who troll other trolls. It's like an amazing food chain of internet trolling.

I dont' think anybody knows what trolling is, trolling is when you pretend to know something and don't and supply a logical infallacy to support your backup argument to others.

Seriously, your all so wrong it hurts.
Clearly because you say so, it must be correct.
I am sorry for damaging your obviously mind numbingly high intelligence, my lord.

I'd thought you ought to know.
