Have you ever traded in a game then really regretted it?

I regretted trading in Ape Escape so much that I bought it again a few years later.
I still regret trading in Legend of Legaia because it was my first RPG, but I don't regret it enough to pay $40 for another copy.

I regret trading in almost every game I have ever had. I've traded in a NES with around 70 games, an SNES with about 30 games, a Sega Saturn with a handful of games, my PSOne with a ton of games, and get this - an Atari Jaguar. All of this stuff would have been so cool if I had held onto it, could've passed it onto my kids or something.
Don't ever trade games or systems in, it isn't worth it. Save the money to get what you want, or at least if it takes you a while to do it, it may drop in price. Don't get ripped off by stores that will give you a fraction of what you paid for it and can never pay you back for regret later on.

I did it with Borderlands. I also deleted my save files for Morrowind when I got a new PC and moved my hard drive, which was pretty lame when I went back to play it a year or so later.
edit: And yeah, keep your games. Especially if they're already kind of old. If you really need to sell them, do it on craig's list or something. All of the stores rip you off.

AC2, great game, to me it has quite possibly the worst replay value, so i sold it and got 35 bucks trade in value for my local gamestore, which was a decent win in my book.
then sometimes, i end up trading in my ffxii, and/or my psp with final fantasy dissida...and highly regret it.
oh well, if i really want something back, i can save up and get it back, so long run, no big deal, thats what having a job is for.

I almost did.. I wanted to trade in the 360 version of one game for a PS3 version of it. The game itself was in good quality, had everything in it, and GameStop gave me 7 bucks in fucking credit. I told them "HELL NO! GIMME MAH GAME BACK!" and they said "Okay", and about 2 weeks later, I got a 360 for Taxmas, and I could play my game anyways.

I regret selling Star Wars: Battlefront, as my mom made me sell it for only $5 because "that's what you do at a garage sale."
I also regret selling Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 2. I figured I wouldn't need it anymore since Rogue Squadron 3 had the same missions in co-op. Turned out I was the only person in my group of friends that liked the game.
I also regret giving my little cousins possesion of all of my N64 games. They sold Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Rayman 2: The Great Escape so that they could buy a couple of 10 year old sports games (I hate gamers who only play sports games on principle, now...on the bright side, I've tracked down all exept Rayman 2).

I almost traded in Borderlands because it bored me, but once i started playing with my brother it became the greatest thing ever. Most EPIC FIGHTS EVER!!!! (Between us for the gun)
I think I gave my parents Assassins Creed 2 to be traded in instead of the first one , and also Thief 3.
