None of my friends seem to appreciate the Ninja Gaiden games like I do... odd

Also I have a friend who will berrate almost any game purchase I make if he dosnt agree with it, even if he hasnt played it. But when it comes to me not playing games he's into, "oh your so short sighted, your such a fanboy for *INSERT-SCAPEGOAT-HERE*, you dont apreciate good games, your just a ****** and a hypocrit you havnt even tried it yet". Im also not alowed to play games unless its a way he deems 'fun'.

Another friend and I tried World of Warcraft to satisfy him, we hated it, and we werent interested in investing the time/cash to actually give a damn about it, but at least we tried it. (not that im trying to bash WoW here)

..No. I don't try to get my friends to play games. Mostly because my friends are idiots. I've attempted a while back. Since then I've given up because really, it just hurts me in the end.

For example...

me: "You should play Vice City, it's all the fun of SA, without the eating. Or corn rows."

friend: "I hate the 80s."

me: "...you can't just hate everything that ever existed in a 10 year period."

---

Mostly they all tend to be that ridiculous for reasons >.>

Although, when we do play the same games, he's the sort of guy who will play for an hour...then stop, to read everything he can about glitches, tricks, exploits, bugs, the best builds/strategies, just so he can be OP and not make any mistakes on his first try.

So yeah...I play my games, and leave mt friends out of it :p

Trying to get my brother in-law to play assassins creed but he's damn stubborn and says he doesn't like games that give you the opportunity to explore (sandbox), he likes games that are very linear.

As for my closest friends, we have very similar taste in games so we recommend and loan each other games pretty often.

Trying to get a friend of mine to play some of my old favorite DOS-games, not much of a success.

No.

To my friends I'm a weirdo who likes video games that aren't FPS's.

I recommend stuffy but I never get pushy. I just don't want to deal with having games pushed at me in return.

My friend keeps trying to get me to play Dead Space, but I'm just not in to survival horror games. On the other hand I'm trying to get him to play the Assassins Creed series, but he doesn't like it because he thinks its just running around stabbing people.

Have you ever had a similar situation with your friends?
agree to play dead space if he agrees to play assassins creed, simple

Whenever I find a game I like, I show my friends. Usually they play it (hey, they think, free game time), and usually they get it.

Minecraft, Left 4 Dead, TF2 (before it went F2P)...
