so last night I decided to cut down on energy drinks...for dental reasons

I've been a "1 big can a day" person for quite some time now..I think thats about 160mg worth which from what I understand is somwhere in the mid range

and I havnt had any today (instead I had one of those stupid Beroca tablets that you disolve in water that taste like piss)

Ive had this headache which has been going on since morning, and I'm really tired , and I might be somwhat irritable too...even more irritable when I think about going the whole weekend wihout, which makes me depressed

and now I'm depressed

so I guess what I'm asking is am I actually suffering from wtihdrawl here, do I consume enough for that? or is it all in my head? I remember another time I didnt get my daily fix until 1in the afternoon and I was mostly ok....has my brain just thrown a pre-emptive tantrum here?

secodn question [b/]have you ever tried to give up anything? how did you feel? were you sucessful?[/b]

1) Yes, it seems that you are suffering from the ill-effects of caffeine withdrawal. New Avatar is appropriate when thinking about the irritability that's inevitable. What I never recommend is cutting caffeine out cold turkey. I would recommend perhaps getting a smaller can or substituting your caffeine with another drink (I hear 6 cups of coffee a day helps prevent cancer).
ha...ha

I don't know I have smaller one, and then I have another 10 because "hey its smaller! its ok! derp!"

uggghhh I don't think I'll ever drink coffee, cant stand the stuff

Coffee, but then I started getting really bad headaches. I also gave up alcohol for a month a while ago, didn't feel like drinking it for a while.

I find it kinda interesting coz i didnt think that i was that dependent on caffeine anyways (it does f**k all to me), hence my choice to quit it.

But yeah....thats how drugs get you i suppose.

I wonder if you can get the energy drink taste without the energy too.

I tried giving up chocolate a few years back. Absolute success, I can no longer remember the taste of chocolate at all.

Now for phase 2, which is to buy the largest bar of chocolate I can find and savor it slowly.

Uh... I try to give up procrastination every year. Does that count?

As for food, drugs etc, nope. Never had to.

I drink about three times as much caffeine as you and I've never suffered any ill effects when I can't get any. I guess it just affects you strongly.

I gave up eating meat. I felt bitter, miserable and lethargic. The first two were nothing new. I've been a vegetarian for over a year now, so I guess I was successful. If I can deny myself what used to make up half my diet, you can give up caffeine. I believe in you.

Well, I have tried giving up pornography, because at the rate I'm going it could lead to addiction. But I failed absolutely utterly and completely at that. Oh well.

Well I quit trying to learn how to drive because I realized how dangerous it was for everyone else... does that count?
I mean I really like driving it's fun but I just get distracted too easily while driving, I mean I kept almost crashing because I started staring at the clouds instead of paying attention to the road, I guess I'll restrict my driving to video games, where I cannot hurt anybody.

Anyway, the closest thing is trying to get someone else to quit drugs, sadly it hasn't worked...
[sub][sub]EDIT: Now that I think about it, I did give up something serious one time but it's little bit of a stretch and probably too off-topic, not really interesting though.[/sub][/sub]

I gave up potatoes. It's a good way to lose weight, but without it it makes eating vegetables a *****.

I also gave up cartooning, but mainly due to a lack of passion from my end.

You're a flippin' genius. Perhaps I should try that.
