I've fired bows at an archery range, shot sport rifles and black powder muskets (and burned the holy hell out of my fore-arm with discharged powder. A word to the wise, muskets come in left and right handed versions, make sure you which yours is), gone skeet shooting, and shot semi-auto pistols into sand dunes with my desert rat uncle.

As for held weapons, I fence with some degree of regularity and my father owns an old cavalry saber that I have taken out and played with on more than one occasion, but never actually used on anything but air.

Oh yeah, and paintballing.

I don't need external weapons. I've got a look that'll crush a man at 20 paces. I've been told it's so effective the target felt fully squashed, emasculated and beaten. I've also been told I've got another look that'll make a man feel 10 feet tall, so it all comes out even, yeah?

hmmm... this is gonna be a list.

ive fired some 200 different handguns, rifles from various vintages from the Revolutionary War to the present day, some 50 - 60,000 rounds of ammunition.

for melee style weapons ive spent the last 15 years doing martial arts centered around Japan, including Nihontou or Japanese Swords, of which i have a small collection, some from the 1700's and some from the modern day.

I guess its best to say if its got an edge, a point, or a weight, ive trained with it, and if it fires a projectile, ive most likely fired one.

Do i get points for being a complete and utter dork?

*looks at the set of bokken and set of shinken in her backseat* oh, i answered my own question.

Ahh...
1. I have 7 different knives in my bedroom, and I've used them all. I do medieval recreation, so I've swung around everything from a flamberge to a (padded) great mace at someone.
2. I own a traditional longbow and a 55-70 lb compound bow which I've hunted with, shoot both of them semi-regularly.
3. I've shot about 55 different handguns, and personally own 3
4. Only shot about 8 different rifles, and own two (one is a 1879 Einfield that... well, maybe you could shoot it, but I don't want to blow my face off, so no risks for me, thanks).
5. I've worked with every explosive from firecrackers to Semtex and C-4 blocks.
6. I've had the opportunity to mess with 4 different fully automatic weapons (Mac 10, AK-74, vietnam vintage M60, and an mp5

I'm a great friend of a very great many people, and explosives engineering is my trade. As a result, I get to have more fun.

Fired an L98, and some old wooden rifle when I was in cadets. Pissed about with my mates throwing knives, that he's consequently took with him to Afghanistan.

Oh and shot a friend's dad's shottie. That had some ridiculous kick on it.

I own a bow, although it's a bit old and simple (wooden hunting bow), I have thought about getting a proper sport bow but 100? are 100?...
And I own a dirk, sharp but mostly for display and in case of emergency or apocalypse.

But I've never touched a real gun as weapon laws are strict here and I prefer swords and bows anyway.

I have personally fired a Lee Enfield .303, Remington Wingmaster 12-gauge, .30/6 Springfield, 7mm Remington and .45/75 Marlin lever-action. I bowhunt with a compound bow, and have fired at and killed deer and moose. As for melee weapons, I usually swing my kukri around once or twice a week, and I also have a blunted Viking-style sword, it's quite heavy and is close to the actual weight of a sword of it's length.

During my deployment to Afghanistan I was assigned the M249 SAW. With the fixed butt-stock, short barrel,a PEQ 15 laser system, and a 145 scope. I hated that thing with a passion, carting that thing around, running everywhere, hell sometimes just making it through doors was annoying. but I gotta say that firing it was pretty satisfying.

I have shot a 12 gauge, pump and double barrel, 22 rifle and pistol, probably too many knives, a blow gun, a short sword, and a gunblade.
The gunblade's gun part wasn't a functional one, but I'm an engineering geek so I do intend to make one some day
