Well I have played around with a bow...missing most of the time.

Buuuut, I will be firing many, many delicious shooty weapons in the near future, as my mandatory military training starts. Hehheh...They won't let me even near those things if I talk like this though, so I have to be sneaky. >_> <_<

Seriously though, I'm not looking forward to it.

Once someone broke into my house when everyone was sleeping but me. He was trying to steal our television when I found him; I was carrying my katana. He pulled out a handgun, and then I cut his arm off. He ran. I buried his arm in my backyard. I keep his gun, a Browning Hi-Power, under my pillow.

No, not really. Things that awesome don't happen IRL. Though, I do have a katana and several knives, which I used to practice with.

So there will be those of you who own a gun yourselves so just say what kind of gun, but how many have swung a sword or mace (not necessarily at someone) or whatever or fired an arrow at ye ol' target?
I myself used to play with a Spanish dagger (none was harmed and secretly) and fire arrows with a bow bought for me(again none harm).

I have fired my service glock in the line of duty on four ocassions in a (combined) 9 years of service most people can go 15-20 years and only fire it once... lucky me!

My brother in law is obsessed with Kendo and gave me a sound beating with one of those sword-sticks. I couldn't get into it though. It felt too much like LARPing.

Um... I fired my assault rifle while I was in the military, I've used a bow at least once and I've been shooting with air rifles/pistols... (I've also been playing around with home made spears and stuff, but that doesn't really count).

i were in Korea 2 years ago, and on a flea market i bought nunchuks and a shuriken. i have tried both of them. and almost every year, my uncle gives me different knives. so i have a Chilean combat knife, and a ethiopian dagger. i have tried them all the most effective was the shuriken.


oh, and i have been fencing for 3 years.

I have fired a compound and shortbow.

I have fired three different kinds of shotguns, a 30-6, a sub-machine gun up to fully automatic, An assault rifle, a 9mm rifle, four assortments of .22 rifles, and .45, .44, .38, and .22 pistols.

I have swung bo staff, straight blade katana, curved blade katana, rapiers, and sabers.

Ive fired everything my family owns (DA 92f, glock 22, 23, remington 870, s&w model 19, Bushmaster ar-15) plus watever else we've gotten our hands on. never swung a real sword or anything though.

I used to go hunting when I was in the boy scouts, and when my friend would have a party we would shoot targets with bow and arrows. I learned to fire arrows before I shot guns though.
