I went to Dairy Queen yesterday when the power went out. Got a nice Flamethrower burger.

I probably have cholesterol issues now, but it was soooooooo worth it.

I'm stuck "living the dream" of working from home, I don't go out from Monday to Friday and sometimes longer. It's the kind of thing you think would be great being your own boss, but when you have no choice but to do it in the hopes of earning some cash it's really not that great... Hoping I get a job soon but with unemployment at a record high in my area and the ten months it took to find my last job, I don't have high hopes for my sanity, by the time I go to interview I'll be as articulate as a brick! I'm not the most sociable person but with zero human contact I honestly think I'm getting cabin fever!

No, I rarely go out during finals.

Hell, even when it's said and done for the year, I'll probably still be as agoraphobic as a paranoid trapdoor spider.

I'm in the lab at uni right now so I guess that answers your question? I leave the house most days or studying, food or social interaction.

Not now, but I don't see anything strange in this
I occasionally spend days inside my flat
Longest period was 4 days without going outside and even without saying a single word
(last year when Deus Ex :Human Revolution came out- I arranged my work schedule so that I had a week free and simply played it non-stop, maybe not the healthiest way to play games :D )

If I didn't have to go to work, I wouldn't leave my apartment for days at a stretch. I'd venture out for food and the occasional (meaning once a month or so) foray out with my friends.

aside from work I hardly leave the house

all my comic book/games/cloths shopping can be done in my lunch hour
Anyone find this growing trend a little bit scary?

We can order our food through the internet, interact with eachother through the internet, entertain ourselves endlessly through the internet...

Why would we EVER need to experience the inconvenience of going anywhere anymore other than some leftover emotional desire?

Have we really let our technology change us this way? Or did we allow ourselves to adapt to our technology? Is it becoming a crutch we eventually won't be able to survive without?

Well having class every day I have to leave but that's pretty much it. Unless I need to do grocery shopping, I go to school then come back to play vidya and study. Sometimes I visit the girlfriend but she usually comes over.

Oh and work too but that's a given.

You and me both.

Last few days though I've gone out at least for a little bit though. Mostly to pick up something from the grocery store, but Saturday I finally borrowed a book from the library that's right by me, and finished it in a matter of hours[footnote]The book was about 300 pages, so considering I haven't been able to do any serious reading for a long while, I finished it in good time.[/footnote], and today I went to return it, but the library was closed. Went out again too pick up a bag of egg noodles.

Well, I work from my home. So I usually don't leave during the weekday. Once the weekend hits, though, it's band practice, bars, and friends.

Just went outside earlier for a walk. Felt really good walking barefoot in nice breeze at 6:00 pm in the evening...

I'm outside right now!

Well technically I'm at college/school...and I do this all week. I miss the days which I stay at home...but I make up for it on the weekend. ^_^

I have had the last four days off from work and I haven't left the house once in those four days.

The only real times I do leave the house is when I need to work, get groceries, or purchase a physical copy of a game. Otherwise I get it from Steam. When I do go to the store I make sure it is a 24 hour one so I can go at night and not have to be surrounded by a lot of people.

I suppose I may leave the house once or twice every week if I need to.
