Despite the adolescent cyncism on here, no i have not. I think there is a balance but we tend to focus more on the bad for obvious reasons.

I lost faith when I read about the woman marrying the theme park ride. When people go to pieces of metal for love it's time to give up.

Only when I lose faith in myself! We can change, we just need to be prepared to shatter any respect for our current social system. And pierce the heavens!

Well, I don't have a big story like you, but I lost my faith in humanity a looong time ago.
Probably because I usually see the worst in people.
My motto is "People Suck." I lost my faith in humanity so long ago I don't remember when or why exactly, but every day gives me more reasons to have lost that faith.

Wow, that sucks! And all that because you inquired about home schooling? Yeesh!
OT: I lost my faith in humanity years ago. Can't put my finger on exactly when though.

I have lost faith in people, not humanity. Humanity has made great steps and done great things in history, because a person chose to act. A wise being made a clear distinction between the two: A person is an intelligent, rational being, capable of anything. People are dumb, panicky animals, capable only of following a person.

A person or two have always helped me out when I needed or asked for it, so I haven't lose faith in humanity. And if I did, it would mean no faith in myself, since I am a part of humanity.

I regained my faith in humanity when I went to get some KFC and I ordered a bucket and some biscuits. They had no biscuits so they gave me some macaroni and cheese instead. That's all fine and dandy but when I was giving them the money the chick was like "no keep it". I was like ok. Saved me 20 bucks.

I lost faith in humanity which I learned how many people have killed in the name of a religion. Coincidentally this is also the same that I stopped following Christianity. I will regain my faith in humanity once the great genocidal purge eradicates most if not all of the human race (the one that happens naturally in the Earth's cycle, the one that killed the dinosaurs(no not the meteor, that didn't kill them. It was coincidence)).

Pfft, humanity. Our problem is that we think we're better then animals. We're not. We're selfish, violent, perverted, and insane, but we think we're better then that and repress ourselves. Then those feelings bubble to the surface and cause horrible things.

I hate us.

Then again, ask me in a few years and I might sing a different song, I 'unno.

/rolls eyes/ Why do I keep picturing you as a ash-blond with purple eyes and the ability to make Japan get a stomach ache by going, "jiii~"

Cookies for whoever figures out where that came from.

School rumors made you lose faith in humanity? Honestly? Are you that rooted in stupid teenage angst?

Want to learn what made me lose faith in humanity? When I spent years to find the biological father who abandoned me because he was a heroin addict only to find out that when he cleaned himself up he struck out and made a NEW family. Being born in italy and having my worthless mother drag me to America acting as if she had a life for us just to realize later that he moved to America too yet never looking for me or giving a shit about my existance, not caring that I was raised for five years in a crack house in the south Bronx, that I had to deal drugs, lie, steal, and get my ass almost killed until my grandparents found and adopted me from my homeless mother who cared more about the men she could screw and the drugs that she could string herself out on then if her son could eat.

Now finally I have a real life and a roof over my head and both of those poor fucks who had me by accident are now coming to me with their palms out asking for money and friendship claiming if it weren't for them I wouldn't be alive.

I'm sorry if I got into the poor me routine, but honestly, rumors in school?

And before you ask, I did search...and all I found was a topic back from December. Which didn't relate.

OT: I did lose my remaining faith in humanity very recently. I was debating if I should go on homebound, my school's version of home schooling, cause I was having problems at home and school and was losing my temper and cool quicker than I ever had. When I broached the subject with my counselor, she recommended that I not do it, cause it would only harm my record. Apparently my school has to list why a student goes on homebound, and the reason I was going to list would raise a red flag. So, I stayed in school, but I wish I hadn't. It got out that I wanted to go on homebound and the rumor mole begin.

The rumors went from I was pregnant and my bf wasn't the father to I was a lesbian and my lover had broke up with me in front of the entire junior class at an assembly. I fished my way through the rumors and found out about one that near about killed me. One of the rumors was that my bf was secretly having an affair with my ex. I knew that this rumor wasn't complete bs, cause my ex had been acting jumpy around me lately. So, I went digging a little further. Found out that my bf had been up with my ex and that they had been seen going into a hotel room together...well, I went berserk. Then I had my friend Tyler walk up to me and tell me that he was sorry. My worst fear was that he was going to fess up to starting the rumor, cause Tyler is like a brother to me, come to find out that he was gay and it was HIM that went into the hotel room with my ex.

I lost my faith in humanity that day, cause they turned something innocent into something false and hurtful...I also tracked the rumor back to my cousin's bf...let's just say that they aren't dating anymore.
Thats why I'm homeschooled. If I had stayed in regular school, I would have killed myself. Everyday I was beaten up and humiliated in class. I went 2 years without a single friend. Thank whatever deity for homeschool. I soon met friends and have regained my faith in the human race.
I stuck it out, I even went out of my way to smooth things over for my friend when he decided to come out and tell everyone...I felt horrible for accusing my ex for something he didn't do...
Wow that really sucks. Makes me feel like I quit over nothing. I'm glad that you guys at least smoothed things over but that is really bad. I'm not surprised you lost faith in humanity. You know what might help though?

A friend request :D

The Nuke was not only invented, but used... on civilians... twice.
Thats what happens when you sneak up behind the biggest guy in your high school and kick him in the balls.
Thats right, he invents chemical warfare and throws atomic bombs at you house.
