Have you not bought a game after watching Yahtzee's review of it?

Sort of. I mostly watch his view for the laughs, we don?t have the same taste in games anyway and somtimes I think he's just been wrong but if he is mentioning specific problems with the game I know I won?t like it might make me more careful and the look it up more before buying.
I don't make decisions on whether or not to purchase a game from any one reviewers opinion.

Yahtzee tends to be negative about every game he reviews, simply to be entertaining in a few ways. But needless to say, were you ever interested in a game like Bulletstorm, but then after watching Yahtzee's negative review of it, did you ultimately decide not to purchase?
Yes, and then there is the situation where I have bought, played then watched the review and regretted not watching the review before the purchase because the game is truly crap. Too Human for example

A while after I saw the Mindjack review, I saw it for really cheap. Then I remembered "It's fucking, fucking, fucking, bad, bad, bad, don't,don't buy it."

He's never made me not want to buy a game, if that's what the OP is saying. He points out the negative, but if I don't want a game, I didn't want it before I watched his review.

He has on occasion made me want to buy a game, though.

I do not base my purchases off Zero Punctuation just as I don't base them off Unskippable. In fact, I'm fairly sure that if I were to base them off one of those shows, Unskippable would be a better choice. Don't get me wrong, I love ZP, but it's entertainment, not consumer info...
How is Unskippable a better choice??? It's essentially video game Mystery Science Theater, whereas ZP actually discusses a games merits and downfalls... I think you got it mixed up. XP
My point was that both shows aren't something you should base your purchases on. As for which is a "lesser evil" in that regard, at least Unskippable shows the actual game. ZP reviews (if you look at them as actual reviews and not nitpicks for sake of entertainment) generally tend to deal with a game's retarded evil twin brother from the Bizzaro world, because if we were to consider ZP an objective discussion of a game's merits and downfalls, all games must suck hard.

Again, I love ZP, but I don't take it seriously.

Not entirely serious, maybe.

Yahtzee's opinions are not my own. The only time I can think of that I've skipped out on buying a game I had my eyes set on was Shadows of the Damned, because he said it was a short game.

I hate having to spend a lot of money on short game :|

Besides that, Yahtzee has trashed games I do like before, and it's always worth a laugh. He is usually right in the things he points out, but sometimes he isn't, or may simply just not "get it".

Reviews in general though, usually don't sway me to buy or not buy a game. I generally look into it myself and gather information on my own to see what I would think.
