johnny got his gun

crazy situation for the guy to be in, you really start to feel for him. which makes the ending so hard to take. Great movie
Johnny got his Gun has been made into a movie?? I'm gonna check it out! The book was amazing
You might want to check out the video for Metallica's One then.

I found the ending to Watchmen left me feeling deflated; is it just me or did the "good" guys lose?
Nobody wins. Such is life. ;)

Cool now I don't have to see the movie because you just spoiled it for me. Kudos. I'd be angry but given your name and lack of spoiler tags you must be a twilight fan.

This doesn't really count, because it's not exactly depression.

I just rented Coraline, which y'know, may just be the best damn movie I've ever seen. When I saw that movie in theaters I was thinking more about the girl I had taken to see it with me, so I was bit distracted that night. Still I was awestruck by the pure brilliance and wonder of that movie. After renting it and seeing it again I was able to take the full thing in and it really made my head spin. To me It was just one of those things that's so wonderful it gets you thinking about everything, and in a way it makes me depressed when I start to think of how much wonder there is to be had in life. It's a strange feeling but I think that most of you may know what I mean.

That may have been awkward, I apologize.

I know exactly what you mean. Y'know, I enjoyed that movie but I thought it was way too over-the-top, and the ending actually hit me like a bullet when I saw it 'cause I agreed with it %100.

The Mist. The ending was terrible and depressing.
I almost hit the fan when they finally ended that annoying lady. That moment completely countered the ending for me.
No joke. That crazy ***** annoyed the hell out of me. I would have shot her myself if I was in that situation.

I watched Reqieum For A Dream last night.
Truly depressing movie. And quite mindboggling.

I'd also say Million Dollar Baby, Moulin Rouge and Schindler's List. All great movies.

The notebook really isn't depressing, but the end will test your ability to not cry at a movie. Also makes chicks weep like babys and want to be held, so great date flick, and if that doesn't work there are always rouphies. I kid I kid!

Yup, recently saw The Wrestler on a rainy and gloomy day, didn't exactly help to brighten things up. Pretty good overall though.

The Last King of Scotland. That is one grim film...

And Schindlers list is a film that depresses me, but it is also kind of uplifting too.

And I usually get a bit weepy at the end of Saving Private Ryan... I think it's because the old Ryan looks a bit like my granddad.

Pan's Labyrinth
Million Dollar Baby
28 Days Later (really more draining)
Gran Torino
Sunshine
What's Eating Gilbert Grape
Magnolia

And there's this one movie I can't remember the name to. Its got James Woods and Melony Griffith, and I think its called Another Day in Paradise or something. They play as drug dealers who rob pharmacies.
