Have you seen the future?

So have you ever seen something before it happens? Such as a dream where you are talking to someone and you end up talking to that person on a later date in time. If so then how often do you have these premonitions, how do they occur to you, and are they truly meaningful or something rather pointless like the example above?

My most recent premonition was that a buddy of mine appendix would burst in the middle of our annual season's viewing of Donnie Darko. That was a few days ago. Just yesterday we watched Donnie Darko and guess what, he had to be rushed to the hospital over crippling stomach pains. Surely enough it was a burst appendix. So Escapist what future do you perceive?

No, I'm a believer that time is instantaneus. No forward in time no back in time, just right here and right now.

With that outta the way, I've subconciously noted things in my mind that has given me a minor prediction as to what would happen. Such as noting that my door is Ajar, and thus someone as entered my room, and thus that someone may still BE in my room.

Nothing more then that.

I can accurately predict when small objects, that I've tossed into the air, will hit the ground. I am the modern day Nostradamus!

I remember once predicting that a cat would die, when I worked at a cattery. (It died of age, in the night, nothing terrible)

Nothing really significant, but I remember dreaming about a level from "Shadows of the Empire" on the N64 before I ever even played the game. Made for a weird deja vu experience, that did.

I have quite a few premonitions, and I don't remember them until I actually see it happen and then I'm like, "Hey, I've seen that before" and the Deja Vu is huge.

I get deja vu alot. I ignore it to my peril but sometimes it hits to close to home. I also get flashbacks since i suffer from memory loss(from a few years ago)and 3 times they were of things that hadn't happened yet. They all happened within a month of the flashback(or is it flashfore?)

I've had a few precognitive dreams. They were nothing special. Basically, they were just short snippets of something I would see the next day. It's nothing that tells me anything useful; just deja vu. I don't have them anymore, possibly because I need medication to help me sleep, so that stops me from remembering dreams.

I wouldn't classify it as psychic phenomena, though - more that our subconscious is aware of patterns we don't think about and can hazard a guess of what might happen the next day. If it doesn't come true, we don't notice it. If it does, we have deja vu, and pay attention to it. It's like how I've predicted songs that will come on the radio before. Considering that there's only a staple of about 20 songs a station plays at any one time, and some timeslots play particular songs more frequently, I have high chances of being right.

It's pattern recognition, not precognition. At least in my case.

That's how I view them as well (Not the appendix incident but that was kinda extraordinary).

I have deja vu about alot of things, mainly conversations I had in a dream that turn out real, sometimes with people I haven't met before. This can be fun at times, because if I get the sense of deja vu I can say something different then i said in the dream. It makes me smile and people don't know why.

I always seem to wake up one minute before my alarm goes off. I work random shifts so the alarm is set at different times each day. Yet still always one minute. i use a mobile phone for my alarm and it makes me wonder if there is some sort of signal or frequency that my brain subconciously gets before the alarm goes off.

I don't have this ability but I went out with a girl who did. She was pretty amazing, everything that she said would happen eventually did happen (except one thing which I'm still waiting for). Unfortunately that list of things included her death.

You mean like De-Ja-Vu? cause I get that all the time. Usually, in a dream. But they are utterly useless; Just random clips from my everyday life, nothing at all important.
