Have you seen 'The Wire'?

I have, I think what everyone else thinks about it (10/10! bestest TELLY evar!!!)
I am however the only one in my circle of friends that has seen it, and I've found that not alot of people round my way haven. this displeases me.

The Wire is my Bible, it teaches you that Omars coming! and what is more important than that?

what Im asking you, is. Have you seen The Wire?

Yes! Yes I have, in fact I'm just starting to go through the entire series a second time since they've just started showing it on Sky Atlantic recently. I'm far too drunk to adequately convey just about everything that's great about the show, so I'll leave you with this:

YUP! I own all five seasons on DVD, and I never regret a second spent watching the show. Nothing will ever be better than it.

Also, if you like The Wire, I recommend seeking out The Corner, which was written and made by most of the same people. It's also unbelievably good.

But seriously it's my favourite TV show of all time, just this christmas I bought myself all 5 seasons on DVD, I also gave season 1 to a whole bunch of family and friends.

Same. Got the box set a few years ago. It's really a great show. It could be brutal, but few shows have the balls to treat its main characters the way The Wire did. It's among my favorite shows ever.

I will say that if you liked that show, you'd probably like Breaking Bad as well. The Wire's creator has also made another show since then that's still running. I haven't watched it yet (don't have HBO and it isn't on Netflix), but it's called Treme.

Yeah it's pretty damn awesome. The first episode might not grip you, but by the second or third you'll be hooked.

Yep, was hooked from about 10 mins into episode 1.

Liked that it was able to move the story on from being a classic cops and robbers style story with better characters and social commentary, to something that covered all the dramatic bases by season 3 and 4.
