Anyone else really enjoying the Red Faction 3 demo? Been playing over and over just screwing around, seeing how long I can last just using the sledgehammer or trying to level all the buildings with remote mines withoud the EDF spotting me. I was late for work yesterday because the ten minutes I promised myself ended up being about an hour.

This is probably the most replayable demo since the MGS2 disc that came free with Zone Of Enders, can't wait for the full game.

On the topic of Red Faction - I played the demo a while back - after applying for a code on THQ's (I beleive it was) website. Long story short I disliked the demo - the gameplay just felt monotonous, and destructible environments don't impress me.

I spent a long, long time mucking around in that demo, seeing if i could destroy EVERYTHING with the hammer in one life, finding the most effifient way to take buildings out with the sticky charges, and of course Mecha-rampage :D

I loved that demo, pity it was on a time limit...
Most defiantly buying the game when it comes out

Didnt like the demo to be honest, and I wont be getting the game at full price, The explosions were fun to look at but only being able to throw 4 satchel charges at a time kinda makes it a waist. The weapons were so underpowered it was annoying and moving your character just didnt feel right, the game looks like it was made for Multiplayer not single player and I dont really like playi ng multiplayer becuase ive established that ever one on the xbox 360 is a purely a dick head. Lose of potential ifyou ask me, the phyiscs were awsome, just the whole only 4 satchel charges really ruined it for me, I had the idea that I would be able to sneak in the military base, plant satchel charges on the main parts of each building and on key points in the base and then quitly sneak out on top of a hill so I get a good view, then let them off so I can watch the whole base crumble, But with only 4 satchel charges you carnt do that, it takes more then that to blow up 1 building then you alert everyone and more then likely give away your postion, pure waste.

I love the demo, but hated the damned time limit. I'm a patient, thorough person when it comes to demolition, the time limit gets in the way of that.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't there explosive barrels laying around you can carry? Though not as nice as having more satchel charges, it would at least make 1 explosion demolitions possible.

EDIT: Whoops, double post. An automerge feature would be nice.

I am planning on buying Red Faction: Guerrilla in spite of the demo, I have played it and it wasnt that impressive. If you want a really enjoyable demo go for the Bionic Commando Mutiplayer demo, it completely changed my mind about the game.

I liked the Red Faction demo, but i am not buying the full game, i could just play the demo a bunch of times instead and save £30. All it seems to be is a building demolition game.

Red Faction? No
But I did beat the RE 5 demo 8 times before buying the game.
Me and a friend played that demo a hell of alot. We must've clocked up a few days in total.

Yes theres barrels lying around but its a pain in the arse trying to carry the barrels into the building then throw the satchel charge and getting out of there, even the barrels dont give a 100% success rating.

Meh, that sucks. I hope the PC version is moddable, then this grave injustice to demolitions can be undone.

I enjoyed the demo, but the weapons didn't really feel like that had enough punch. Also, the walker took damage a bit too quickly for my liking.

Yeah.. you also were playing with the baaaasic of basic weapons. There are some real nasty ones on the slate, it looks like.

I overall liked the demo and intend to get the full game.

Actually, the last few demos I've played were awesome and I've actually kept a lot of demos.

So far, it's the Red faction demo and the inFamous demo that I'm playing the hell out of.
