having a hard time trying to remember old nintendo games! please help if you can!

i'm having one heck of a time trying to remember a couple of old games, i have been googling for a couple hours trying to remember
my first one that i tried to remember was when i was a kid when i first got my... this may be a problem because i can't remember if it was my nintendo or super nintendo.
but it was a game where you were like a monk/ninja/ fighter guy. side scrolling game, where you get to go into temple's and beat up bosses who jump, like really big jumps.. really weird. and you kicked and punched them not sure if i can explain it any further.


another game i was thinking of i dont even think it was made for nintendo, i used to play it with a friend in the late 90's. but it had a bunch of thicker sized animals you could play as, and it was kind of like mario, but i beleive you could be 4 different ones. this one is very vauge to me, dont think the graphics were better then the snes... sorry this one is very blurred to me, but if anyone knows what i'm talking about would be awesome!!

The original Prince of Persia?

I can only remember arcade games but so many had console ports so its worth checking them out.

Ninja Gaiden (NES and sega master system) Strider (arcade, MD and nes version), Ninja Spirit. Legend of Kage, Tiger Road, Shinobi series (Segas hardware), Rastan, Black Tiger. Atomic Runnerman

Those games have large jumps but if the game was a mega man clone then there were quite a few obscure ones on NES

none of those either, thanks though.... another thing i do remember from reading that thread sextus posted was that the bad guys in the game, were like toga wearing mummy's for example one of them would be all blue and would have his arms out jumping around trying to hit you

Edit, and all that moved was his feet, would just go downward and would massive jump
