Healing mechanics you never understood

We've all seen it, games where you in some weird way regenerate health, but which is the weirdest of the weirdest? I thought the one in Battlefield: Bad Company was pretty interesting. You get your full health back by injecting some sort of syringe or something right into your heart.

i thought Far Cry 2's was pretty weird... injection in the wrist heals minor wounds and something like pushing a bullet out the otherside your arm heals major ones, surely moving the bullet just makes you bleed out?
also treding on a first aid kit, how does that help!? surely you'd just break everything in it and be even more boned.

I just revelled in the realism that there's nothing a good punch to the chest can't fix.

This is the one I was thinking of on the nose. They are fun to watch, but pulling on your elbow until a slug squeezes out of your joint is HARDLY field medicine.

But they are ever so cool to watch.. Nothing is as satisfying as hearing a dislocated arm cracking

Any mechanic that attempts to imitate realistic surgical practices. Healing takes fucking time, something you can't have in a game.
